COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A man was taken to the hospital after being stabbed in the neck with a fork inside the Walmart store on Harbison Blvd. Friday morning.

Officers with the Columbia Police Department were called to the store at 360 Harbison Blvd. around 11:00 a.m.
Police said a man and women were involved in a verbal argument when the woman grabbed a fork and stabbed the man several times in his neck.

It is unclear why the woman and man were fighting. Police believe the woman had the fork with her.

The unidentified male was transported to a local hospital. His condition was not immediately available.

The suspect, identified as Jeancia Thompson, was arrested and taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
