Im not familiar with that area so I had never noticed and I did just happen to see it was spelled Gaol
Im curious with stuff and was so tempted to go ask inside
But hubby grew up around there and I asked him and its so old(its a historical landmark after the new one opens outside the city)
Thats how it was spelled back then and they have left it that was in the huge cement walls on all 4 sides
