Woman Arrested After Spraying Her Toddler With Pepper Spray

Houston, TX - A 24-year-old mother has been arrested for using pepper spraying on her toddler.

Officials say that Janee Young was arrested on Thursday and charged with injury to a child. The incident took place on Brant Rock in Houston and started when the father of the child was trying to leave the home with the baby boy in his hands.

Young and the man got into an argument and Young tried to pepper spray his face. However, police said she missed and hit the child instead.

The toddler was taken to the hospital and suffered minor injuries.

Young was released on $2,000 bond on Saturday.

But who, exactly, says "not in front of the baby"? The one making outrageous comments as he heads out the door holding the baby, or the one who would pursue the argument while staying behind?

I think they both are guilty, since I've seen people do stuff like holding babies up to protect themselves. Yeah, really brave. Great way to avoid a fight. And the one using the weapon had to have some inkling that this wasn't going to go off without collateral damage.

LOL no-one says "not in front of the baby" but when you're dealing with this apparent level of irresponsibility I would hope the message gets out to every chance knuckle-drager who reads this.

You have a dissagreement about the kid, you put the kid downwith an activity and GO make a cuppa tea so you can talk it out peacefully on the verandah!
