Drug Dealer Dad Jamal Woolford Charged In Shooting Death Of 4yo Son

The father of 4-year-old boy who accidentally shot and killed himself with his father’s gun has been arrested and charged in his son’s shooting death. Jamal A. Woolford Sr. (29,) of Old Railroad Road in Hebron, Md. was indicted yesterday by the Wicomico County Grand Jury.

When troopers arrived, they found the son of the accused, Jamal A. Woolford Jr., 4, had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and the child’s mother, Shanice A. Kellam, 24, had also been wounded by a gunshot. The child was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

… investigators determined the victim had gained access to a handgun that belonged to the accused and he kept in the bedroom. The child had accidentally shot himself and the round also wounded his mother who was asleep in bed.

The senior Woolford was charged with the following:
•manslaughter,
•reckless endangerment,
•permitting firearm access by a minor,
•possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine in a school zone,
•manufacturing cocaine,
•manufacturing cocaine in a school zone,
•possession of cocaine,
•two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia,
•possession/use of a firearm involving a drug trafficking crime,
•illegal possession of a regulated firearm,
•possession of a regulated firearm knowing it to be stolen,
•theft of a firearm, and
•use of a firearm in commission of a felony

When will people learn to be responsible with their firearms? I for one told my husband if we have a gun in the house don't tell me. Well unless someone is tryin to break into our house for some reason, then by all means let me know and I'll gladly point and shoot.
This guy looks so damn...dumb but theres more than dumb here. Irresponsible. Low life. Shit for brains. I wonder how the child even found the gun? Other than it was obvs just lying somewhere in the within his vacinity

It's pretty simple in my mind. This guy was a drug manufacturer/dealer. He had the firearm to protect himself from competition and theft, and probably the police too. So he kept that gun where it would be handy -- right beside the bed. Expect it to have been in the night stand, under the pillow, maybe even right on top of the night stand. Of course, for convenience, there's not going to be any trigger lock. The child is mobile and curious, as kids that age (and for years) are. He found it while digging in the nightstand or laying on the bed by mommy.
