Mauvette Mattandeen Accused Of Attacking Husband With Cooking Oil, Axe, Surrenders

Mauvette Mattandeen, 41, surrendered to detectives around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, said Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano. She faces attempted murder and weapons charges, and her bail was set at $500,000 cash

Mattandeen’s husband was sleeping in the couple’s Oswestry Way home when Mauvette Mattandeen sprayed him in the face with an unknown chemical substance, Soriano said.

While the man was in the shower washing off the chemical, prosecutors said Mauvette Mattandeen dowsed him with a pot of cooking oil.

Mattandeen then allegedly chased her husband as he ran out of the bathroom and tried to attack him with an axe, detectives said.

Mattandeen was able to get the axe from his wife before running to a neighbor for help, prosecutors said.

The husband remains at St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is being treated for severe burns to his head, face and upper torso.

That was just a joke. This account reminded me of someone I knew who was interning in an ER. A guy comes in with six gunshot wounds - courtesy his live-in girlfriend - all between his waist and his knees.

The doc asks "Why did she shoot you?"

...and the guy says, "I don't know. But she must be mad about something."

YEAH all this violence, i am real curious as to what the he DID to get such treatment, until I hear why she did it I will wait to comment further... cause five of the bastards in todays stories alone deserve this exact treament and MORE....

He didn't necessarily have to do anything to warrant such treatment. Some crazy people get crazy ideas in their heads...or smoke stuff that makes them crazy. If this were a story about a woman who was treated this way at the hands of her man, we'd all be shouting to hang him by the balls. Maybe she was just nuts.

Why did he stay in the house after she first sprayed him with 'unknown substance' anyway? That would be the first clue this bitch is gonna go crazy on his ass.
