Husband sought in Phoenix killing of pregnant wife
A woman found fatally stabbed on a Phoenix apartment balcony 10 days ago was pregnant at the time and her husband is believed to have been the attacker, police disclosed Thursday.

Phoenix police said that Sheila Lomes, 22, was pregnant when she was stabbed multiple times on March 26 on a second-story balcony of an apartment complex near 35th Avenue and Beardsley Road. A 2-year-old child of Lomes was found nearby, unharmed.

Police say they are searching for Lomes' estranged husband, 24-year-old Gilbert Villarreal, who has been named on an arrest warrant accusing him of two counts of first-degree murder. One count is for the death of Lomes and the other for the death of her unborn baby.

Authorities believe Villarreal might be hiding in Mexico and are asking for the public's help in locating him.
