Alan Erskine
Police are searching for a 38-year-old man wanted in the death of his girlfriend at the woman's apartment in northwest Houston last weekend.

Alan Erskine is charged with murder in the death of Lavandra Stevens, 24, who was found dead about 6 a.m. Sunday at her apartment in the 4200 block of W. 34th.

Police said Stevens died at the scene. There appeared to be no obvious wounds from a shooting or stabbing. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is expected to perform an autopsy to determine her cause of death.

Police said Erskine allegedly killed Stevens and then called 911 to report the death before he fled the scene. He was last seen driving a black Chevrolet Silverado truck with the Texas license plate 39YGB5. Police released a photograph of Erskine that was taken in 2008.
