Winter Haven Father Punches & Kills Infant Baby
Winter Haven, Florida – A 3 month-old baby girl is dead and her father is in jail after he punched the baby’s head because she wouldn’t stop crying. He wanted to take a nap.

On 3-27-12 at approximately 1:15 p.m., a medical call was dispatched to Ave. K, SE, in Winter Haven. The call involved a 3 month-old baby, Riley Ryon (DOB 12-23-11) who was found unresponsive inside the apartment when her mother, Kristine Bardell (W/F, DOB 8-4-85) came home for lunch.
    [...]
According to Bardell, she went into the bedroom where the baby was laying face-down on the bed and found the baby unresponsive. When she turned the baby over, she saw that Riley was not breathing and her face had a bluish tint. She rushed the baby to Ryon and he started CPR while Bardell called 9-1-1.

Winter Haven detectives, who were in the vicinity and heard the call, responded immediately to the scene and assumed CPR while Winter Haven Fire and EMS were en-route. When EMS arrived, they took over CPR and transported the baby to Winter Haven Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

On today’s date (3-28-12), Dr. Nelson with the District 10 Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and concluded the baby had a skull fracture (6.5centimeters long) indicative of a blunt force trauma.
Winter Haven Police detectives interviewed the father and he admitted to hitting the baby in the head because she wouldn’t stop crying when he wanted to lie down to take a nap. Christopher Scott Ryon was placed under arrest and charged with Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child

Christopher Scott Ryon, 27, has been charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child, police said.

Father held on $500,000 bail in fatal punching of baby
A Winter Haven man remains in jail today with his bond set at $500,000 in the death of his 3-month-old daughter after punching the child when her crying interrupted his nap.

Christopher Scott Ryon, 27, has been charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child, police said.

Father Who Beat His Baby To Death Called Daughter ‘It’
A man allegedly punched his 3-month-old daughter until she died and refused to call the baby by her own name!
Christopher Scott Ryon, 27, is being charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child after he reportedly punched his daughter Riley Ryon because she wouldn’t stop crying, according to The Daily Mail.
The child’s mother, Kristine Bardell, found Riley face down and not breathing on the bedroom floor when she returned to the home during her lunch break. Christopher was asleep on the couch.
According to police, Kristine woke him up and asked him to check on their daughter while she made lunch. He returned and said the baby was fine, but a short time later Kristine went into the bedroom and made the horrific discovery. She frantically called 911. Christopher initially told police that he might have dropped Riley from the bed, and he repeatedly referred to her as ‘it.’ Later, he revealed that he punched her in the head because she wouldn’t stop crying and it was keeping him from sleeping.
He described the cries as “screams that go through me like bullets” and said she cried another five minutes after he hit her, then fell silent.[...]

Well, the lazy jerk can catch up on his sleep in jail, now can't he?

Babies that young are pretty straightforward--they cry because they're hungry, need a diaper change, or are tired, for the most part. They also cry when they're sick, but any parent with half a brain cell will take a baby to the doctor if the usual remedies (breast/bottle, clean diaper, rocking, or swaddling) don't make the crying stop.

    Do the math.

Prison justice, bitch. I hope you get plenty of it. I realize it's not good for me to wish eternal pain and suffering on anyone, but goddamn, I just want him to die. Preferably in a slow and horrific manner. The baby just needed some attention.

My dog has a truly unbearable bark. It's that one pitch that makes your eardrums buzz and causes actual physical pain. And she seems impossible to train out of it. But I've never struck her because of it. Even when she won't let me sleep. And I know she's just a dog, and that no one would ever know if I slapped her around or, frankly, even if I killed her. Even if someone did find out somehow, I'd get a slap on the wrist.

I don't care if your baby cries until your eardrums frigging bleed. Even if you don't have a conscience at all, isn't the knowledge that killing your baby is going to ruin your own Very Important life enough to stop you from killing her? I would think that anyone who's selfish enough to kill a baby over a missed nap would really not want to go to jail.

I have a nasty feeling this fucker is way lazier then we think. Bet he sits on that couch day in and day out, scratching his ass, marinating in his own stench.

Gosh his face alone makes me want to get all dolled up in a nice tight skin dress, makeup done, smelling like roses, hair did, and the best pair of high heels that I own....I would walk up to him and just grind my fucking heel on his ballz until they oozed with DNA....Lovely sight

My cat sits outside our bedroom window from 4am, yowling until someone lets his ass in. This morning, he was late and started around 5. Damn straight that cat didn't shut up until I let him in around 6:20 - I was curious to see if he'd keep going. My husband sleeps through it. I have never considered slapping him (the cat, not my husband) around or getting rid of him for it. He is my responsibility because I chose to take him in. It's always a crapshoot on the personality of the animals, and man, I got a little asshole.

This asshole, killing his daughter and then I guess putting her facedown so everyone will think she suffocated, is a giant, selfish, cowardly, lazy, selfish asshole who I hope gets lost of dates in prison.

Does he realize how loud it can get in prison? He'll have plenty of time to be lazy though..in 24/7 lockdown.

My baby son is sick. He screamed for a constant 2.5 hours last night, and NOTHING consoled him. My husband and I took turns on holding him, until we had to give him to the other parent because we were irritated.

Funny how punching "it" never crossed either one of our minds.

Wow......what a piece of fucking work. How do you call your baby "it" He obviously didn't want the child and could give two rats ass about her. I wonder if he called her "it" in front of the mother. That would piss me off. I'm assuming he has been watching her most of her short little life after mom went to work. I wonder how well this child was cared for? I mean really if he was so concerned about his nap schedule God only knows how neglected this baby was while mom was away for hours at a time providing for the family. Ugh this makes me sick.

Depending on which report you read, he went into the room to check on her at her mama's request, and reported she was fine! Just what do you suppose would have come next, if mama had accepted that? How long had she been dead before she was discovered by her mom?

I was thinking the same thing. He reported she was fine. What the fuck? Was he so half assed about it he didn't bother to actually check the baby or was he trying to buy more nap time before being arrested. This guy is something else. No brain, heart or soul. I have no idea how long it was before the mom discovered her but it could have been hours if he did it right after mom left for work. This makes me ill.
