Kimberly Hvizda, 37, of Chester Springs, was starting her shift at the Wawa convenience store in Upper Uwchlan Township at 11 p.m. when her estranged husband, James Hvizda, 45, met her outside, said District Attorney Tom Hogan.
The couple talked in front of the store and then walked over to Kimberly Hvizda's van, where James Hvizda
drew a knife and stabbed his wife multiple times, Hogan said.
A worker at the store off of Route 100 at 1800 Ticonderoga Blvd. went out to check on Kimberly Hwizda's whereabouts when she did not return and found her in the parking lot. In the meantime, James Hvizda walked into the nearby Upper Uwchlan Police Department about 11:10 p.m. to report that he had just killed his wife, who was pronounced dead at the scene, Hogan said.
"This was a cold-blooded, pre-planned killing. The defendant executed his wife, the mother of his four children, with casual efficiency," said Hogan. "Those four children are now left without a mother and with a father charged with murder."
