87yo Maria Zuravinski Is A Bully & A Bitch, Attacked 71yo, Hit Dog With Walker, Etc

ATLANTA —

An 87-year-old woman is accused of antagonizing a neighbor at a public housing complex for two years.

Police have been called to the Marian Road Hi-Rise Senior Apartments in northeast Atlanta twice. The woman has been cited and ordered to stay away from her alleged victim.

"You just can't understand what it's like to live in fear," 71-year-old Bernadine Jones said.

Jones said she is terrified of her neighbor Maria Zuravinski. But Zuravinski said Jones is the problem.

"She [is] crazy," Zuravinski said.

Jones said the conflict began two years ago when she disturbed a rosebush that Zuravinski planted in the garden at the public housing complex on Sidney Marcus Boulevard.

Jones said Zuravinski attacked her, hitting her with her cane. She said she called her racist names before spitting on her, saying "That belongs to me. You don't plant there. That's my land."

Zuravinski was charged with battery in the 2010 incident. Jones said Zuravinski was given anger management courses and ordered to stay away from her.

Last month, police cited Zuravinski again and ordered her to stay 200 yards away from Jones.

Channel 2 Action News was at the complex as Zuravinski tried to hit Jones' dog with her cane as a dog walker got out of an elevator with the animal.
"Hey, hey, don't hit this dog," the dog walker said.

Jones said it was another example of how Zuravinski is destroying her life.

"Since I moved here my life has been just pure hell,” she said.

An Atlanta Housing Authority representative said the authority is trying to evict Zuravinski but its hands are tied until a judge rules on the eviction. Zuravinski denies hitting Jones.

Wow what is with these old people acting like assholes? 87 years old and she's harassing someone 16 years her junior over a damn plant? I thought you were supposed to enjoy your golden years not start pointless bullshit and quite possibly give yourself a heart attack. I hope they evict this crotchety old bitch and stick her in a nursing home! If anyone deseves it she sure as hell does.

Well then I suggest a better support bra! My Madea was a mean old biddy not gonna lie. She had the sweetest smile and was BLIND but man oh man you cross her she'd curse you seven ways to Sunday then tell you to go to Church's and get her a two piece with a biscuit even tho she had high blood pressure and the Dr. told her it was no good for her but she didn't care and she always got her way! This old bitty sounds like my step grandmother, sweet faced, pillsbury doughboy looking old woman that was absolutely hell on wheels when she was pissed and she stayed pissed about something all the time.

A bunch of times she destroyed her house because she was mad about something, broke everything she owned and threw it in the floor, we lived near her at one point in my childhood and she spied and told on us everyday about something, she was one sour bitchy old witch.

She gave me underwear for my 8th grade graduation present, great big old granny panties, too. I got in trouble because I didn't hug her neck and kiss her wrinkly old face in gratitude for the present. I was 12 and she gave them to me in front of the whole family and wanted me to hold each and every pair up and thank her separately for each one.

I am sure she went to hell!

Hear Hear!!! I live in an apartment complex of mostly older folk. It's only 3 floors but some of these people are off their heads. I'm telling you. Between the drugs (there are some younger folk living here too) and con-artists and other drama.. there's never a dull moment. :|

Hell, living to be 87 will probably make me a bitter old bitch too. The older I get, the more I dislike society. If I plant a damn rosebush and nurture it to perfect health, I WILL nudge a ho for snipping flowers or "disturbing" my bush when I am 87. my moms building is 21 floors of that and fully entertaining from the 50-60 year old kids that have to move home to mommy and daddys and drink and do drugs
to the guy that held the whole building hostage with propane tanks and he was nekkid on his balconey screaming the 10 commandments lol and more
