The court in Barcelona has sent
María Ángeles Molina, known as Angie, to prison for 22 years for murdering her friend,
Ana Páez. The case has been described as the ‘perfect crime’ as María Ángeles committed premeditated murder for money and had elaborate methods of trying to cover up the crime.
She was found guilty of drugging her friend to sleep, suffocating her with a plastic bag, and then
impregnating her in the mouth and vagina with the semen from two gigolos in order to leave false clues to simulate that the crime had a sexual motive. She had obtained the semen at a male brothel by paying two prostitutes to masturbate in front of her into a jar.

The Second Section of the Barcelona High Court sentenced the accused to 22 years in prison for assassination and document falsification. 18 years for murder and four for the documents and the attempted fraud. It said that it was ‘unquestionably proven’ that Molina took out policies and loans using Páez’s identity.
In court she denied the charges, saying she was out shopping at the time of murder, buying a watch at El Corté Inglés and then she had gone to a supermarket.
‘Without yoghurt or condensed milk, I am nothing’, she told the court.
