ERIE, Colo. -- A man who delivers the Daily Camera newspaper has been arrested, accused of repeatedly exposing himself to employees of a 7-Eleven store where he drops off the papers.
Ronnie Darnell, 55, was booked into the Weld County Jail on Tuesday on suspicion of felony indecent exposure.
The owner of an Erie 7-Eleven store called police in February, complaining about a delivery man exposing himself through his pajama bottoms to a female employee for the past year, according to an Erie police affidavit first obtained by the Greeley Tribune.

According to the affidavit, the employee said when she worked the night shift, the driver exposed himself to her every time he came in, sometimes wearing "pearly beads" around his genitals, which he would expose through a hole in his pajama bottoms.
"She did not notify police because she just tried to ignore it," the affidavit stated.
Store owner Patricia Napolitano took his license plate number, and police ran his plates, which were registered in Darnell's name, the Tribune reported. Investigators also learned that Darnell is a registered sex offender out of Boulder County.
Police interviewed a second employee on Monday, who said she had only seen Darnell expose himself to her once.
This is the fourth time in 25 years that the Boulder County man is in jail on suspicion of sex crimes.
According to the affidavit, Darnell has a history of sex crimes dating back to February 1987, when he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor indecent exposure. In 1997, he pleaded guilty to sexual assault on a child, and in 2010, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor indecent exposure, all in Boulder County.

Darnell is a registered sex offender, with a listing on the Colorado Bureau of Investigation website. According to the Greeley Tribune, his sex-crime history began in February 1987, when he entered a guilty plea on a misdemeanor count of -- you guessed it -- indecent exposure. He copped to the same charge in 2010 in Boulder County. And in between, circa 1997, he confessed to sexual assault on a child.

Fortunately, no kids appear to have been harmed this time around -- but multiple clerks at a 7-Eleven in Erie may never be quite the same. The Tribune, citing an arrest affidavit, quotes an employee who told cops that when she was assigned to the late shift, Darnell showed off his Little Ronnie through the opening of his pajama pants every time he stopped in -- although there were occasionally differences in presentation. For instance, he sometimes wore what she described as "pearly beads" on his tool.

A second staffer only saw Darnell display his flesh once, although she noted that he typically had an erection.

Over the past year, the employee most frequently subjected to Darnell's hobby tried to ignore what he was doing, the affidavit states. But on February 13, the owner decided enough was enough, telling him to leave the store and stay away permanently.

Today, Darnell, who's been cooling his equipment in Weld County Jail, is expected in court to formally hear the charges against him. As such, he'll continue to make news, as opposed to delivering it
