Ronald Sellers Called Police About Intruders,But He Was Hallucinating On Bathsalts

CHURCH HILL — Police said a Hawkins County man who called 911 Friday morning complaining of intruders in his home committing thefts was actually alone and hallucinating on bath salts.

About 9 a.m. Friday, Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Josh Byrd responded to the home of Ronald Wayne Sellers, 37, 388 Tipton Road near Church Hill after Sellers called 911 and stated someone had been inside his residence removing items.

After Byrd and other deputies arrived at the residence, they were told by Sellers that the intruders were in the woods behind his house.

Byrd added, “I asked Mr. Sellers if the subjects were still standing in the location, and he stated, ‘They are still standing there. Don’t you see them?’ Officers could not see the subjects.”

Byrd stated in his report that Sellers was unsteady on his feet, and Sellers allegedly admitted that he had taken “bath salts” prior to the officers’ arrival.

Although Sellers was at his home, the deputies arrested him on a charge of public intoxication due to “concerns for his safety and the safety of others.”

“Officers believe that Mr. Sellers was hallucinating from the bath salts,” Byrd added.

Sellers was released from the Hawkins County jail Friday about 3:30 p.m. after six hours in jail,

How can it be "public" intoxication, if he was in his own home?

Have to admit: I cannot fault them for wanting to take him in for his own safety.......

Keep reading about them on here but I dont think we have then here yet
We JUST started getting the meth fall out here and I have seen tweakers now and I know its been out in some parts of the states for years but meth is just starting to hit here
I have a friend that runs a clinic,group therapy,drug therapy groups and I asked him about Meth awhile ago and he said meths just starting to make it here
Here its still crack and heroins becoming bigger
Friends son died from that few months ago he quit heroin and did it cold turkey and autopsy said thats what killed him

This is the funniest shit ever, complete with mug!

Back in 2001, my husband brought home some weed that a friend gave him. It was called "chocolate thai" and it smelled like Chocolate too. One day I tried it while listening to music in my car. I started to get tired so I walked back in to my house and went to bed. Then what felt like a few minutes later, I hear "intruders" in my home. My husband worked nights along with his brother who lived with us.

I start to hear the rustling of papers and things moved around. I sat on the floor in my room, legs folded towards my chest waiting for the "intruders". Then I hear the shower going and start tripping because the "intruders" were taking a shower. That didn't make sense at all. I finally passed the fuck out in the little nook I was in and get woken up by my husband standing over me....No intruders I was just high on weed. Thankfully I was quite buzzed and couldn't figure out how to dial the phone. My MIL had a laugh at my expense that night...but luckily I didn't feel a damn thing.

I took Ambien for a while. I had really crazy hallucinations (the floor would look like a choppy sea, and people on TV would stop what they were doing and stare at me, which was pretty freaky), but bath salts just sound like pure nightmare fuel. No one's ever like "I took bath salts and saw rainbows/unicorns/the face of God", it's always "I took bath salts and SPIDERS CAME OUT OF MY EYES HELP ME!"

Here in the states, anything intended to be put into the body needs to go through FDA testing (with certain exceptions). Apparently, by labeling the stuff as "bath salts" the dealers think they can avoid that.

It isn't really something you'd use to soften or condition the water for bathing anyway. Erowid has some data on MDPV, the psychoactive component, at the link. They also have the research chemical icon on the page, indicating that anybody that takes the stuff has volunteered to be a Guinea pig for free.

Bathsalts are not bath products at all. They call it that so it can be marketed.

I was researching this the other day because I was like wtf is this stuff??. I read things from guys who say they have done every drug and tried every high. Bathsalts is the worst and they can't stop. Its like being wired on speed and doing PCP at the same time with the grand illusion of LSD. If you have done any of those, or all you can imagine.

high schools a blur but thats all we had I guess
I dont remember any really weird drugs,
It was pot and hash and on weekends asking parents for $5.00 to go to a movie and buying a hit
AND town under 2500 we didnt have a movie theater lol

I did too when I first heard about people snorting bath salts I was like wtf that is disgusting. Why one Earth would anyone snort bath salt? How did that become a trend...lol....of course it's not at all what I was thinking but I thought that for the longest time.
