ISLE OF PALMS — Police have accused a 50th Avenue woman of breaking into her next-door neighbors' house in April and smearing her own blood on the walls after the neighbors wouldn't let her use their swimming pool, police said.

Elizabeth Gayle Feller, 23, is charged with two counts of first-degree burglary. Her blood matched the DNA profile, an affidavit said. Police learned that she had a disagreement with the neighbors about the use of the pool, police Lt. Ray Wright said.

Someone broke into the home April 7, threw items about and smeared blood on cabinets, doors, bed linens, furniture and walls, an affidavit said. The word "PIGS" and an obscene word were written in blood on the walls.

Another home on 50th Avenue was burglarized April 26. Similarly, items were thrown about, a mirror was broken and the burglar carved words into the walls with the broken shards, an affidavit said.

I am one of the Isle of Palms detectives who assisted with the investigation of these break-ins. Ms. Feller was not convicted of either crime. We were unable to connect Ms. Feller to the second burglary. There was no DNA evidence presented in court because it was revealed that the matching sample came from Ms. Feller's home, not the scene of the crime. Male blood was found inside the vandalized home, which is in the offical report. Ms. Feller also passed two polygraph examinations regarding this incident. The official report also states that it was not Ms. Feller, but her mother, Gayle Feller, who had the confrontation with their neighbor about using the pool. This article is "gossip" and not an accurate report of the circumstances surrounding this crime. The disturbing truth is that the individual who commited this gruesome vandalism is still at large.

If there is misinformation that you would like to see corrected, here, I would take it up with the several news outlets that reported on this story.

All incident reports are available to the public for a small fee. Just go to your courthouse or police station in the county where the incident occured. In this case:

The charges were dropped, however that would appear on a background check and not an incident report. I represent the Isle of Palms Police Department, however I refuse to provide my name or badge number, because it would obviously be unwise to do so on the internet.
She was a sweet girl. I was very close with her father. I ran into her around Christmas, which was the first time I had seen her since this fiasco. She is currently getting her second bachelor's degree and is a part-time model- she is becoming a successful young woman and does not deserve be the center of this defamation that makes her sound like some kind of monster. Believe it or not, a cop felt guilty, so her family, lawyer, and I are going to ask websites like this and The Post and Courier with incorrect information and vitriolic "comments" to update their articles or to remove them from their database. If they do not they are responsible for libel, as are those persons who quote directly from these false claims. Unfortunately, we have already logged several IP addresses from this website of who have committed this crime, and we must share them with the provider, given that the provider cooperates.

I know your generation has a lot of problems, but one must learn compassion and respect.

I think all of these yahoos learn the words "libel" and "defamation" so they can go around threatening people to remove embarrassing public information from websites. You can't just erase public records. Newspapers don't "unreport" stories and half the time don't follow up on old cases because nobody cares anymore. If you want new information on this case cited, then provide usable sources to get this information.

Yeah, I'm SOOO sure Morbid has handed admin rights to this PERSON so he or she could track IP addresses.

Morbid can track IP addresses of visitors to his site. This is often how he discovers that one person has signed up under multiple user names.
