    High Point man faces sexual assault charges
    Friday, Jun. 13, 2008 8:47 am

    HIGH POINT — A High Point man faces charges he committed sexual assaults from 1973 to 1981, police said today.

    The grand jury indicted Guy Ellis Carr Jr. on 13 counts of taking indecent liberties with children, 13 counts of sexual crimes against nature, three counts of first-degree statutory rape and three counts of first-degree sexual offense, High Point police said.

    Carr, 65, was arrested without incident at his place of business at 1015 Manley St. in High Point.

    He was being held Friday morning in the Guilford County jail in High Point under a $1 million bond.

    The charges followed a month-long investigation, police said

    Holy crap! That sure took them a long time. Wonder what happened that made them all of a sudden start investigating him just a month ago? Someone come forward? Did he get busted for something else and was mandated to give DNA which they matched? Interesting... Glad he's finally off the streets but what else happened in those 27 years...?
