Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.

Surprisingly, the one thing that will keep me from ever getting this version of the iPhone is the virtual keyboard. I hate, hate, hate virtual keyboards. I need buttons that I can feel.
For Satan finds some mischief still for idle hands to do.
Feel the same way about virtual keyboards tho my bigest problems is it looks flimsy as hell, I bet you drop it once and its the end of your 700 bucks gadget and that you cant replace the batery, fine for an MP3 player, not so fine for a cellphone you cant call in an emergency because you spent all the batery watching funny youtube videos earlier in the day.
Gprime, wile this crap does have a camera at the time it only takes pictures not video so the camera of this particular version shouldnt really be a selling point.
I have no desire for an all-in-one type unit. I use my computer for one thing, my phone for one or two things, etc. I guess I'm old-school, but I'm just not excited about the Iphone.
Feel the same way here. I figure give them 5yrs to work out all the kinks, then maybe they'll have a decent product. I can certainly thing of quite a number of other things I would spend 700 bux on long before i'd shell out for a phone. hell i-m happy w/the little verizion i've got now as it is.
I have a laptop that is wireless capable (integrated EVDO card), so no need for internet on my phone.
I have an IPod and my caris IPod ready with an auxilary jack to the stereo and a power jack right next to it on the passenger side dash, so no need for music, pictures or video on my phone.
I have a POS Nextel i710 that is provided and paid for by my job. It makes phone calls and is free. That is all I need.
No fucking way am I spending even $150 on a phone, let alone $600-$700.![]()
Give it 5 years and everyone is going to be toting around one.
I never have, and never will own an Apple product, nor will I own all-in-one devices. I just don't like devices that handle more than one thing. Yes, there is a convenience factor of having a phone that plays MP3's and takes pictures...but if if the device breaks, you lost all of the capabilities, instead of just one of them.
