When the malnourished 15-year-old awoke each morning, she could hear her family eating and getting ready for the day. If she felt especially brave or desperate she would call to her stepmother and beg for food, but usually she just went back to bed and hoped her hunger pangs went away.
This is so fucking awful. I hope these two learn the true meaning of hunger and pain.

The attorney for a Madison woman accused of starving her 15-year-old daughter is asking people to wait until the whole story comes out before judging her.

Thomas McClure tells the AP that the girl’s parents have been characterized unfairly by what he calls an incomplete investigation. He said the truth will come out, and people will see a, “very different situation” than what’s been disclosed so far.

The attorneys for a Madison couple accused of torturing and starving the man's 15-year-old daughter have asked a judge to lower their clients' bail.

The father also asked to be tried in absentia. His request filed this week doesn't explain why, and his attorney didn't immediately return a message Thursday.

Cash bond has been set at $22,500 for the father and $30,000 for the stepmother. In court filings, their attorneys say neither defendant is a flight risk and neither has a criminal record.

Hmm, yes, unfairly vilified. See, the girl was Damian incarnate and the basement was the only place we could contain her and be safe ourselves. Starving her, well that kept her weak so she couldn't overpower us. All the rest, she wanted it that way because she's the devil.

I'm too afraid to face her in court. She'll consume my soul.

Neighbors expressed concern. One called authorities after watching the parents scream at the girl as she was forced to push cement blocks from one side of the yard to the other for no apparent reason. However, the parents blocked county workers from speaking with the girl.
I can't tell you how much that shit annoys me. We are always banging on about how the neighbours in these abuse cases are assholes because they ''suspected something'' but didn't report it. THESE neighbours saw and acted, but the parents BLOCKED the county workers from speaking to the girl.

How can they be allowed to do that? Surely if a neighbour has reported abuse, and then the suspect family also refuse to allow the child to be seen, then that should be setting off some very loud alarm bells. Surely the county workers should INSIST on seeing the child in question, and call in the police if necessary to gain access.

I'm sick of reading how some neighbours do report stuff, but CPS either fail to act or allow themselves to be 'blocked' from doing something about it.
Psychos do not explode when sunlight hits them, I don't give a fuck how crazy they are!

My kids have access to everything in the house that I do, they eat when they are hungry. The only thing they can't do is cook, although they are getting to the age when I need to start teaching them how to cook some things. I just cannot understand withholding food from kids. My kids would mutiny on my ass if I refused to feed them, they may even kill me and cook me if I refused to buy food. It is sick when you see kids so beaten down and scared that they cannot stick up for themselves.
I love my mom because she loves me and she is a great mom she loves me so much she bought me a psp that stands for playstation portable.

I wish I had a link to something for this but it was just a quick little piece on the news that was part of the defense attorney's press conference. When he was asking the public not to judge his client yet, he said what no one knew was that the girl was 4'11" and her "normal" weight range was 79-110 lbs. anyway.

I wanted to reach through the damn television and strangle the asshole. Maybe she would have been taller than 4'11" if she'd have gotten some actual nutrition? And since when is 79 lbs. even an appropriate weight for someone who's almost 5' tall?

There was supposed to be a fund set up for the girl but I still haven't heard anything about it. :(

A fund has been created to help the 15-year-old Madison teen whose family is accused of locking her in the basement without food or a bathroom.

The biological family has created a trust fund, referring to the teen by her initials. “A trust has been established which will be used for enriching and enhancing the quality of SLC’s life. Especially supplemental and extra health care not otherwise available, as well as educational expenses, and to bring new, positive enjoyment and new, positive experience to her life,” cousin Tanya Hansen said.
    [...]

The teen is now in state custody where the Dane County District Attorney says the girl is doing “fine,” but provided no other details of her condition.

Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne was to present a video recorded interview with the girl in lieu of her live testimony. But Circuit Judge Amy Smith, after ruling the video was admissible, said it was not necessary to show it again in court because she had already viewed the entire two-hour interview and it is up to her alone to determine probable cause in the case. . . .

At the hearing, Smith threw out subpoenas issued by the defense attorneys seeking medical records and testimony from doctors who have examined the girl, calling them impermissible at this stage in the case. She also said that some of the subpoenas, in particular one seeking testimony from Lynn Green, director of the Dane County Department of Human Services, were issued too late.

Chritton's lawyer, William Hayes, also protested the playing of the video interview with the girl in lieu of her live testimony because his client has a constitutional right to cross-examine her. Smith said that state law differs on that point and allows child witnesses to present their testimony by video recording.

The video, later released to reporters, showed the girl, dressed in a pink hoodie and clutching a teddy bear she called Cocoa Bean, talking about the alleged abuse she suffered over the past five years.

The girl, interviewed at Safe Harbor by Madison police Detective Maya Krajcinovic, appears thin under her baggy clothing, looking much smaller than most 15-year-olds and speaking in a soft, hoarse voice that sounds like that of a much younger girl.

During the hearing, Smith said that at times during the video, the girl blamed herself for what happened. She said she wasn't believed when she told her parents about sexual abuse by her stepbrother, Joshua Drabek, who is now charged with two counts of child sexual assault and child abuse.

Smith said the girl appears to have symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and cried at times during the interview, saying "I don't want to go back. I can't take it anymore."

. . . The Feb. 23, 2012, letter from the state Department of Children and Families is addressed to Dane County Human Services Department Lynn Green. It notes the Division of Safety and Performance planned to inspect the case record and interview staff involved, per protocol after egregious incidents.

Green has previously said her staff followed protocols in the case.

There have been 10 reports of suspected neglect, sexual or physical abuse since 2006 involving the girl. Three are pending. Six others were unsubstantiated or didn't meet the legal definition of abuse or neglect. A 1997 report of physical abuse was substantiated but the department hasn't released what happened. . . .

. . . The videotaped interview shows a small 15-year-old girl clutching her stuffed bunny, dabbing her eyes and detailing alleged abuse and starvation by her parents and step-brother. The interview is between the victim and Safe Harbor investigators. . . .

"This is evidence in a public hearing," said Smith holding up a DVD in court on Tuesday.

The judge said she’s seen the video and describes the 15 year-old girl looking more like a 9-year-old.

"While I think verbally articulate also for a large part of the interview she was holding a stuffed animal which would certainly suggest something younger than her chronologically age," said Smith.

The judge overruled objections from prosecutors who wanted to protect the girl's privacy, and defense attorneys who feared the video might prejudice potential jurors.

"We're dealing with a child here and we (are) looking to protect the child," said Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne.

"That's just going to generate incredible amount of media attention. For what purpose?" said defense attorney William Hayes. "It harms SLC because it doesn’t do her any good. It definitely takes away from Mr. Chritton's ability to receive a fair trial."

The two-hour video shows her speaking softly to a detective. She said her stepmother physically assaulted her and withheld food, and that both her parents kept her confined in their Madison basement.

At one point, the girl breaks into tears and says, "I've just had it. I just don't even want to go back there." . . .

"Right now, the state is trying to sell you that Melinda and Chad are these terrible people that have done all these terrible things to S.L.C. over time. And that's why we have S.L.C. today with the story she has," Hayes said. "And quite frankly, my short time on this case and the things that I've reviewed, the word rubbish comes out. In my mind, it's just not true!" . . .

"If you have the attorney for her biological parent, her custodial father, who presumably would know what's in those records and he can't give you more specifics than he already did than you should find this as simply a fishing expedition," Smith said. . . .

According to University of Wisconsin law professor Gretchen Viney, when a victim is removed from a house for suspicion of child abuse, the victim is typically kept with another relative for a period of time.

“If there is no fit and willing relative, then the victim would go to a licensed foster home,” Viney said. “But typically, the victim will go to a relative.”

Viney added if the defendants in child abuse cases are found to be not guilty, it is unlikely the child would be immediately returned to their care due to the confidential nature of the court proceedings.

I sincerely hope she's not put in the hands of relatives. At least, none related to the father and step-monster.

MILWAUKEE - Harry Lewis knows about the long road to recovery for abused kids. He is a clinical social worker for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare and has been counseling children for decades.

TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Tom Murray showed Lewis video of a police detective interviewing the girl at the center of a Madison abuse case.

"She's at the severe end of that spectrum," Lewis said, after viewing the video. . . .

"She was in a camp and everyone was against her and I'm sure she was very fearful of that," Lewis said. "She was very fearful of being able to go into the kitchen and eat normally."

This is really sad. My 15 year old daughter is so sassy and to read this broke my heart. Where is her mother? Unless it's posted and I didn't catch it..

I'm watching the news right now - will come back and post link to report as soon as they put it up, right now it's "breaking" - the parents were just in court and were ordered to stand trial. They had a doctor from the University Hospital testify that the poor girl was the size of a 9 1/2 yr. old and didn't have anorexia like her dad said. They had a psychologist testify that the girl showed no signs of the aggressive behavior her dad and that ...thing he was married to said she exhibited which was why she was kept in the basement.

And gee, the stepmom looks even fatter than before, had to be wheeled in again and sat there frigging smirking the whole time. The dad looked scared but she sat there looking like she was holding back a laugh.

ETA link - this station keeps updating the story at the same link as new news comes in:

A stepmother charged with child abuse in connection to her teenage stepdaughter's starvation and serial torture is trying to keep her two younger children from being placed in another home.

At a juvenile court hearing Wednesday, Melinda Drabek-Chritton denied her two younger children were in need of protective services.
    http://www.wqow.com/story/17212657/s...other-children

I'm not sure what this means, really. Is she trying to keep them in the same home with their sister, the one she starved and tortured? Or is she trying to keep them in their current placement, perhaps a family placement? Surely, they're not at home with her? (She is on home confinement, right?) Oh, please, tell me they're not with her . . .

Officers were called several times to the Wisconsin house where a couple allegedly tortured, sexually abused and starved a 15-year-old girl, police records say.

The girl -- whose father, Chad Chritton, and step-mother, Melinda Drabek-Chritton, have been charged with reckless endangerment, child abuse and child neglect -- had twice been seen by passersby outside the family's Madison home skinny and barefoot, The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Saturday. She weighed 70 pounds by the time she escaped Feb. 6, a police affidavit said.

Police released records of at least 10 instances between March 2007 and August 2011 when they visited the home for a variety of calls.

One woman called police in January 2011 to report seeing the girl outside the home barefoot in the cold. Two officers responded, but when no one answered their knocks at the door, they left, ending the investigation. By that time, Dane County child protective services had received six phone calls concerning the young girl.

"Based on what facts were given to the officers, we believe they acted appropriately," Madison Police Capt. Sue Williams said. "There is nothing to indicate more should have been done." . . .

    http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2012/...4051333306546/

I disagree. When you have reports (in the plural, no less) of a child thin, weak, suffering, exposed . . . you don't leave because no one will answer the door or allow you in. You get a f***ing warrant, you stake it out, something!

State probation agents who conducted home visits at a Madison residence where authorities say a 15-year-old girl was starved and abused never saw the girl and did not go into the basement where she allegedly was forced to stay, though her stepmother showed the agents an alarm on the basement door she said was for protection because the girl was severely autistic, according to state records.

    . . .

Lance Wiersma, a region chief of the Department of Corrections' Division of Community Corrections, said Wednesday that agents had no information indicating that the girl was locked in the basement or being abused, and that Drabek-Chritton's explanation of the girl's medical condition and the need for the alarm seemed plausible at the time.

    . . .

Between mid-December and early February — when the girl was found outside in pajamas and bare feet — h a agents made three visits to the family's Southeast Side home, where Drabek was living while on probation for having a sexual relationship with a13-year-old girl in Deerfield.

According to a March 15 email to Wiersma from supervisor Nicole Raisbeck, "The agents only inspected Josh's bedroom and common areas located in the house."

    . . .

Raisbeck wrote: "During the residence assessment, Melinda showed the agents the alarms on (Drabek's) bedroom door and the basement door" and "demonstrated the loud noise that would result in the (basement) door being opened. She told us the alarms were turned on only at night for the protection of (the girl) and the family."

But Wiersma said Wednesday it was DOC's understanding that the basement alarm was solely for the girl's protection, because of her autism, and agents were not told she posed a danger to others. The girl has told police she has never been diagnosed with or taken medications for autism.

Corrections spokeswoman Linda Eggert previously said residence assessments typically include a thorough on-site inspection of the residence and neighborhood.

But Le Monds said Wednesday, "The policy is that we investigate common areas within the home." He said agents were told that the basement was the girl's bedroom and "there was no reason for us to look into the teenage girl's bedroom."

According to the records, Corrections is seeking to revoke Drabek's probation in part for failing to act on knowledge that the girl was being abused and starved.

A revocation summary states, "Drabek has shown he is willing to stand back and do nothing while horrendous abuse is occurring."

Drabek "knew this was not how a normal 15-year-old girl should look. Regarding the alarm on (the basement) door, he stated his mother told him this was because (the girl) would come upstairs and eat all the food," the summary states. "She then put an alarm on Mr. Drabek's bedroom door so it would 'look better to the DOC.'"

Wiersma said it appeared to agents at the time that the family was taking precautions to ensure Drabek did not leave the house or go where he wasn't supposed to. The revocation summary states Drabek-Chritton said Drabek's alarm was partly to ensure he wasn't going to the girl's room.

Agents had no information at the time indicating there had been any allegations of improper contact between Drabek and the girl, Wiersma said.

According to the DOC records, Drabek did not initially tell agents that his stepsister was living in the home, saying he forgot. But the revocation summary states that explanation "is suspicious and unlikely at best. At worst, it was a deceptive attempt conceal her whereabouts altogether from his agent because of the poor condition he knew she was in."

In a statement dated Feb. 24, weeks after the girl fled, Drabek said he moved back into the home Nov. 15 when he was put on probation. He said he did not know the girl was being abused and "never saw my mom or Chad lay a hand on her.

"If I look back now, I can see that abuse was occurring," Drabek said, adding that his mother "would yell and scream and threaten all the time. The day (the girl) ran away, I heard her say, 'I'll throw you down the stairs.' That's when (the girl) ran."
    http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/loc...a4bcf887a.html

Here's the thing, you'd think they would have been more concerned that a potential victim (of their probationer) was right there. They didn't seem sensitive to that at all. I'd think they would question her, or send CPS to do a review of the home. Obviously, I'm wrong. Instead, they're concerned he didn't report her abuse. Well, of course he didn't, since he was part of it.

However, the prosecution should use this information to build their case, since here is evidence that Drabek is a pedo and that the Drabek-Chritton is a f***ing liar who will make up any story to excuse her treatment of the girl. Autistic. Really.

All a tad fishy, not sure this story should be taken at face value but at the same time have to wonder what exactly has gone on, main point being that she is only 15, and regardless of wether she had some eating disorder, or not, the Lass should have been looked after, my lads seem to eat double their weight every day and are still scrawny, and no... they don't have worms either, just growing fast! Think we need more details before any of us can make an honest comment. Echo the question of where Mum is and why do maternal family feel they have a say when they haven't been in her life for so long? Nobody else in the 'Family' noticed something was wrong? As for the Autism claim, should be easy enough to prove if she has actually been diagnosed, even if she is on the lower end of the spectrum. Not the first case I've worked where a step sibling has been persecuted and disbelieved by the family when they accuse a step sister/brother of sexual abuse. Hope we get more info on this case, and most importantly all the kids find themselves somewhere safe.

A prosecutor has filed more charges against a husband and wife accused of torturing and starving the man's teenage daughter and forcing the girl to live in their basement.

Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne on Monday filed new felony counts of causing a child mental harm, failing to protect a child, false imprisonment and child neglect against both Chad Chritton and Melinda Drabek-Chritton.

They are already facing charges of reckless endangerment, child abuse and child neglect. They both pleaded not guilty to all the counts Monday afternoon.

The girl's stepbrother, Joshua P. Drabek, also has been charged with sexually assaulting her. He stood silent in front of the judge Monday. The judge entered not guilty pleas to a charge of child abuse and two counts of sexual assault on Joshua Drabek's behalf.

In addition, lawyers for the couple filed motions Monday asking that Dane County Circuit Judge Julie Genovese dismiss the charges, alleging that a preliminary hearing last month was not held within deadlines required by law and did not establish that the couple likely committed a crime. William Hayes, who is Chritton's lawyer, also said Chritton was denied the right to cross-examine the girl because her testimony was played on video.

Drabek-Chritton's lawyer, Thomas McClure, filed a motion asking Genovese to order a medical examination by her own doctor to address kidney disease that worsened while she had been in jail. McClure wrote that Drabek-Chritton has lost more than 90 pounds since she was jailed and has been told that her kidneys may be failing, but the jail doctor will not take any action. Genovese will hear that motion on April 23.

During past court appearances, Drabek-Chritton has been brought into court in a wheelchair, but she walked into court on Monday.

Hayes also asked that Genovese release Chritton on bail because he has lost his truck driving job since being jailed and his wife will likely lose their home to foreclosure if he doesn't find work soon. In an affidavit Chritton also wrote that the house has been broken into and trashed three times while the couple has been in jail.

Genovese will hear the dismissal motions and Chritton's bail motion on May 18.

Hayes is also asking that Chritton be found indigent so that Hayes can be re-appointed as his lawyer by Dane County at a reduced rate.

    That defense is crap IMO.

The bitch's health seems like a mixed bag to me. If she's lost 90 pounds and was able to walk into court, it's hard to believe that the supposed kidney problem is bad. Can't figure why the jail doctor would not do something if she were really in trouble.

The rest just makes me laugh. Oh, boo hoo, you shitheads.

Video at this link, if you want to see the bitch walking.

The video, later released to reporters, showed the girl, dressed in a pink hoodie and clutching a teddy bear she called Cocoa Bean, talking about the alleged abuse she suffered over the past five years.
I really don't know how these kids survive for so long. 5 years of mental and physical abuse, starvation and just plain sheer hell, and she survived it. Not only did she survive it, she got out and exposed these cruel bastards to the world.

Imagine being a little kid living with a bunch of much bigger people who are all constantly picking on you, being mean to you, withholding food love and affection from you, making your life as miserable as they possibly can, beating you down to the lowest ebb possible and sapping your spirit and soul, day-in-day-our for years. It takes a lot of inner strength to withstand that, survive and come out the other end. She is an amazing little girl, and so are all the other little kids who survive this shit. I really am in awe of them.

Couple accused of abusing Madison teen asking for legal defense donations

MADISON- The couple accused of torturing their teenage daughter is now asking for donations for their legal defense fund.

The website, which is registered to their attorney, claims Chad Chritton and Melinda Drabek-Chritton have been falsely accused of torturing their daughter and now they want your money to help prove their innocence.

The website that makes the biological mother of the teen, investigators say was tortured by her family, sick.

"I am outraged at this right now," said the teen's mother Heidi Pease.

The site claims Chad Chritton and stepmother Melinda Drabek-Chritton are the target of lies by the government and the girl herself.

Prosecutors say the two tortured and starved Chad Chritton's daughter, forcing her to stay in the basement of their Madison home.

"I cannot believe they would lie to pull at the heart strings of the public," exclaimed Heidi Pease. "They know what they've done."

The Madison teen who wasted away to 68 pounds after her parents allegedly locked her in the basement and denied her food will almost certainly have to testify if her father and stepmother stand trial.

The father's attorney, William Hayes, filed motions this week asking that the 15-year-old be compelled to testify in person, arguing that the father has the constitutional right to confront his accuser. A legal expert says the move virtually assures that the girl will appear in court.
    [...]

Children under the age of 16 are sometimes allowed to provide testimony on videotape or via closed-circuit television if a judge decides that facing alleged abusers could be too traumatic. But the girl turns 16 on Dec. 26, so if the trial doesn't begin before that, Hayes' motion would be rendered moot, said Cecelia Klingele, a UW-Madison law professor who is not involved in the case.

"Once the witness has turned 16, she would have to testify under the same conditions as an adult,"
    Klingele said.

The next court activity scheduled is a pair of Aug. 31 motion hearings for the 41-year-old father and 42-year-old stepmother.
    [...]

The girl didn't testify at the preliminary hearing. Instead, prosecutors presented a videotaped interview in which she told an investigator her family physically and sexually abused her.

Hayes said the video deprived his client of his constitutional right to cross-examine the girl, and he said the father would not waive that right at trial.

Jurors "will need to see (the girl) in person, assess her demeanor, listen to her direct and cross-examination and then make a determination as to whether or not they are going to believe her," he wrote in the motion filed Tuesday. He did not immediately return a message left Wednesday.

Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne declined to say whether he had already been planning to call the girl to the stand.

"I'm not going to speak to the specifics of this case, but obviously when we prep for trial we prep all our witnesses for trial," he said.

Ozanne said he hadn't spoken directly with the girl about trial preparation, and said he had no update on her health or condition.

While the Constitution protects a defendant's right to confront his accuser, it's not always easy for a lawyer to challenge an accuser who appears vulnerable. Jurors might sympathize with witnesses who appear young, disabled, elderly or poor, and cross-examining a child who seems frail might come across as badgering.

"That's always a challenge for defense attorneys," Klingele said. "It requires a high amount of skill to handle cross-examination tactfully."

Hayes has hinted that he plans to question the girl's mental health, and the defense wants her to undergo a psychological evaluation.

Hayes has said that when he first reviewed the girl's allegations, "the word 'rubbish' came to mind."

That bag of jiggling fat,her pussy-whipped sperm donor and the pervert rapist son should be slapped repeatedly, every day, all day, for the rest of their loathsome lives. For the rancid cunt...feed her nothing but rice cakes, fat-free peanut butter and small glasses of orange juice, to keep her alive and suffering. Turn the guys over to gen pop and let the thugs take care of them. I hope the two spend their entire sentences servicing a whole bunch of Bubbas. Bubbas who don't believe in bathing or "wiping".

I had kids who each went thru a chubby phase until their height caught up. They were little terrors who REALLY like hamburgers, fries and gooey desserts. I didn't withhold food or drink; I just made sure their meals were healthy, they had fruit and low-cal snacks and we saved the junk food and sugar for a special treat. I hate people who starve and abuse kids. Hate them, hate them, hate them. I'm more enraged by the cunt struck sperm donor; that girl is his. Not Gargantua's. It was his responsibility to protect and care for his daughter; he didn't fail; to fail you must attempt. He didn't even TRY to save the precious child he helped bring into this world. I want to pull all his teeth with my pliers. Maybe I'd pull the pervert's dick off too. I am very vindictive and bloody-minded when it comes to child abusers....I have the most satisfying torture fantasies; I wouldn't do it, but I think about it.

It would depend on what she did to lose the weight. Some crash diets are VERY hard on the kidneys. Even so, if she were seriously in kidney failure, the doctor would be treating her for it.

My blood was already boiling, but as the mother of an autistic child, this really sets my teeth on edge. Even if the girl was autistic (which I doubt, based on other stories about the case), locking her in a basement with an alarm does NOTHING to help an autistic child whatsoever.

I hope that the girl does testify. And I hope that her testimony damns them to a lifetime in jail.

The defense is claiming her testimony is trash and her mental health is questionable. If her mental health is questionable, I'd say it'll look bad for the parental units because they had everything to do with it. But maybe I'm wrong and the jury will assume she's just living in an altered reality and lying about her treatment.

My real bitch point is, though, that the defense wants her in that court because they think she'll be unable, because of filial love or fear, to actually blame her father and his cunt wife for what they did to her when facing them. After years of that treatment, and months or even years of much better treatment, I hope she has absolutely no qualms about facing him and pointing her finger at them both.

A Madison teenager charged with sexually assaulting and abusing his 15-year-old sister, who authorities say was kept in a basement and starved for years, was removed from the family's home in 2008 by the Dane County Department of Human Services after he was caught trying to break into the basement through a window, a prosecutor said Wednesday.

At the time, Joshua Drabek was under supervision after being found delinquent for sexually assaulting another relative in 2007 when both were 13, said Assistant District Attorney Matthew Moeser.
    [...]

Drabek, 18, is charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child and one count of child abuse in the case involving his stepsister
    [...]

Drabek was scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday after his probation was revoked in a third case — this one for having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl in 2011. But the sentencing in that case was put off after Circuit Judge Julie Genovese expressed concern about a 30-page Department of Corrections report received just two days earlier with "pretty significant prison recommendations."

Genovese did not say how long of a prison sentence was recommended but said she wanted to ensure Drabek's sentencing for the 2011 case was not based on the pending case involving his stepsister since that case has not yet been decided. She also asked that a psychosexual evaluation of Drabek be conducted before sentencing.

In the 2012 case, Drabek is accused of sexually assaulting his stepsister in December 2006 and February 2009 and of abusing her in January 2011.

According to state Department of Corrections records, Drabek moved back into the home in November when he was put on probation in the 2011 case. State probation agents made three visits to the home but never saw the girl and didn't go into the basement, though her stepmother showed the agents an alarm on the basement door she said was for protection because the girl was severely autistic, records state.

The girl told authorities she was never medically diagnosed with autism, a criminal complaint states.

Drabek's probation was revoked for not reporting or intervening in the alleged abuse of his stepsister.

I did not read page two, but see that there were questions on the bio mom's status. On one of the articles, I saw that the girl was placed with her father originally because bio mom had married a known child molester? I see now that bio-mom is enraged over the low-class begging for legal fund money under a sham that built a platform on insulting a victim and whining about how THEY are victims. I am not sure if the sex offender remarks were found to be true or not, but if so, they said that the placement with monster-dad occurred after the girl had been already molested periodically by her mom's chosen monster. Ugh.

The thing that is pissing me off as much as the entire fact pile are the comments made by the scum lawyer defending the beasts. I try not to immediately assume that a defense attorney is just a scummy person because I also believe in the justice of a fair trial. Ideally, a fair trial will expose truth to determine guilt AND lack of guilt, obviously, and even those who do not claim to be not guilty are in their rights to someone who will defend them and attempt to argue for the least possible sentences. It's when I read remarks that are utterly incomprehensible by attorneys who prepare defenses such as the bullshit like saying a grown man had no "intent" to actually KILL an infant when he KICKED the infant purposely as hard as he could, but that it was an unfortunate side effect of what was essentially just a aw-shucks-bad-choice to kick the baby. In this case, we see the other inhabitant type of that unworthy-of-necessary-life-requirements, the attorney who is not only claiming that his clients are the victims by being totally not guilty, but even going to say that the child who has obviously been starved, raped, and abused is doing this with some evil intent. This is too low for words and it is deserving of the same reputation that these other worthless jerks deserve--that of an immature asswipe who is unfortunately allowed to share our society even as he whines and lies and does everything but accept responsibility for himself or anyone who is willing to allow him to take their case.

Shame on him, and of course the beasts who are in trial are worthy of nothing other than jail. This girl's physical state has PROVEN her story, and would have told the story even without her speaking a word, just based on the obvious appearance upon discovery by the good samaritan and her rapid weight gain without other medical consequences (to prove her stepbeast a liar when she claimed she could NOT give the girl more food b/c of medical reactions or that the girl chose not to eat herself). There is no rubbish in this story and the facts are right there in black and white in not just this present case file but all the others that were opened through the years, from the time she was raped as a child in her MOTHER's home to the MULTIPLE times the police and/or CPS were called from 1997 onward to the day she escaped (at least as stated in the articles about complaints back from 1997 and instances of complaints recorded and not properly investigated). Even if this girl had for some reason decided to lie about this sad life, and the hambeast defense of medical and psychological problems would have been verified, the exact defense would have shown that the attorney is an asshole for attacking the girl regardless of the facts--she would have been exonerated of the fact she may have told an untruth by the inability to know the severity of such action.

However, IMO, by the evidence stated in the papers, which the attorney does not bother addressing, the girl did not lie. These people tortured her in slow agony, not only breaking her down physically but also apparently leaving her with the mental and psychological scars that may never heal. They deserve every ounce of public shaming and then they deserve to rot.

. . . Meanwhile, some of the victim's family members said they have been denied contact with the girl referred to as "SLC" in court. . . .

SLC's cousin, Tanya Hansen, has spoken out in support of the victim before. She told WISC-TV that relatives on the victim's biological side of the family don't know where SLC is, who she is with or how she is doing.

The victim's great aunt, Pamela Timmermans, said the victim's biological mother was forced to sign away her parental rights when she and Chad Chritton divorced.

Maternal relatives have made numerous requests to visit with SLC or send letters to her, but Dane County Social Services said they could have no access to or contact with the girl.

"All we want is for her to know that she has family that loves her and will be here for her when she has the ability to decide for herself rather than some arbitrary supervisor working for the system," Timmermans said in a written statement.

Relatives said they were also concerned to learn that child advocates are not helping SLC. Timmermans specifically referred to Dane County's CASA program not being involved.

Dane County Social Services Director Lynn Green would not go into detail about the case or the condition of SLC. Green said once a parent terminates his or her rights, that person cannot legally restore those rights.

The trust fund created by the victim's maternal relatives to support her in the future is still active and raising money, according to family members.
