Definitely not something you are ever ready to hear! The really shitty part was that I first went to the eye doctor thinking I just need glasses. It went on from there before I found out I am losing my vision, but it's because I have a brain tumor. No fun. But shit happens I guess, it could always be worse. I was really pissed off at life for a little while but I am basically over that now.

I don't think I am interesting enough to ever end up on the FP, so no worries I got a speeding ticket once, but I got out of that when the cop wrote my birthday down wrong and I showed up as a 25 year old woman instead of an 85 year old woman and the judge threw it out. Hardly FP material lol. Unlike you, I come from a family that curses like a bunch of sailors so I think I will have no problem holding back!

I completely agree! Nothing made me madder than being on the FP and seeing over and over again the families or friends or parents of these offenders coming on here to defend them. I guess ignorance is sooo much easier than admitting you that you raised/grew up with/trusted a piece of shit capable of such monsterous acts.
I will get into this more as I make my way around this place, but I was a victim of crime several years ago (which is actually why I have chosen the career path that I have) and I know what it feels like to be victimized all over again in the media and in court and by these dumbfucks who would rather put blame on the traumatized than admit that their loved one is an asshole. It sucks. It really sucks to watch that happen again and again.
The story that originally brought me to all of these sites was the murder of my friends daughter Gabrielle Randel by her mother's boyfriend of three months Kenneth Lopez and indirectly, her mother, Danielle McCleary. Talk about dragging on... they were just very recently setenced and this all happened years ago. In any case, people came out of the woodworks defending those two as well. I don't see how you can, but they do... Just another tragic story of a woman who puts a new man before her children and the children end up suffering or dead. How many times do we have to read these same stories? I feel the same way as you do... sometimes it gets overwhelming. I just decided though that I didn't want to sit down and take it anymore. I needed to decide what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, and if I could prevent even one child or woman or man from having to go through that... or at least make one offender have to pay the consequences and never be able to offend again, I'm doing it. Life experiences mold you! But I will step off my soap box and stop rambling now.

Bless you, sweetie.. It took tremendous courage to share the details of your story. Thank you for trusting us. Most of us who are regulars on the site, feel this connection to the victims and are almost always standing in defense of the victims. Every once in awhile, a story will come to light that was either misreported, or found to be a scam/lie/whatever. It doesn't happen often.
