Christian Wright Facing First Degree Murder Charges In 3m/o Jaydens Death

A 19-year-old man has been arrested for the death of his 3-month-old baby boy in Crawford, according to the sheriff’s department.

Christian Wright, 19, is now facing a first degree murder charge in the death of Jayden Wright after authorities caught up to him in the Little Rock area, Sgt. Ken Howard says.

The sheriff’s department had issued an arrest warrant for Wright, however, he fled to the Little Rock area where he has family, according to Sgt. Howard.
Several agencies, including the US Marshals, were actively looking for Wright.

The baby boy died on Jan. 11 in a Little Rock hospital, according to an obituary. Sgt. Howard says the child died from trauma, but the state crime lab is still trying to determine the exact cause of death.

Wright is being held in the Crawford County Jail.

A man accused of killing his 3-month-old baby in Crawford County last year pleaded guilty Friday (May 17) to a first degree murder charge.

Christian Wright, 20, of Little Rock, was sentenced to 20 years in prison with an additional 20 years suspended, according to Prosecutor Marc McCune.
