Area woman allegedly caught huffing at Walmart with child in the stall

Eau Claire County, WI - An area woman is caught allegedly huffing aerosol fumes in a store bathroom, with her young child at her side.

Police were called to the Eau Claire Walmart store two weeks ago after customers heard a three-year old boy crying, and saying there was something wrong with his mom. A customer looked into the bathroom stall and told police she could see a woman with an aerosol can in her mouth. She says she took the can away from the woman, who did not respond.

Witnesses say the woman, Ashley Stevens, came to and stormed out of the stall and started shopping. Customers followed her while staying on the phone with police until officers arrived.

Then on Friday, Stevens was picked up again, this time for driving under the influence with the same little boy in the car. Eau Claire Police say Stevens passed out while driving. They say she had needle marks in her arm consistent with drug use, and a syringe was found in her coat pocket. She'll be in court on all charges in March.

You could also say, this mom is not going to last very long with this kid.
That's an all time low, huffing in a Wal-mart toilet stall and your 3 year old snitches you off. I hope the kids is in a safe place, who knows what horrors he has seen. This is only what she got totally caught doing. That means she got away with hundreds of other times. At least that's my guess, *cough*

She is screaming for help. Or to be euthanized. Poor lil babe, to be forced to witness such behavior and at Wal-Mart, too!(@malq) Maybe the authorities will finally take this baby and put him somewhere he'll be safe and people will love him more than she does. Cause I think she's made it patently obvious she's not gonna stop til at least one of them are dead.

Walmart must be the go to place to do that. I was there over the weekend and I sent my kid to get some mousse and twice he came back with one that had the clear top on, but the spout taken off. I suspected then someone huffed it, but how to do it in an isle and put it back on the shelf? Or maybe someone just took them off to be funny. I dunno, but huffing was my first thought.
