A Doraville child photographer was arrested after police allegedly discovered extensive videos and photos of children being sexually abused on his computer.
Mr. Benjamin Miller, who was in jail on $50,000 bond, had his first court appearance on Friday for sexual exploitation of children, the police spokeswoman Ms. Mekka Parish said.
He was arrested Thursday at his Doraville home at 3214 Valley Bluff Drive, Ms. Parish said.
The arrest came after the Internet Crimes Against Children detectives did a proactive online search.
“During the investigation, detectives uncovered an extensive amount of downloaded videos and photos of child pornography,” Ms. Parish said. “At this time, detectives have not determined if Miller is responsible for producing any of the images; but, there is a concern since he had regular contact with children.”
Mr. Miller is a self-employed photographer who takes photos of child models and helps build portfolios, Ms. Parish said.
Additionally, he developed and maintained several photography websites.
