Angela Boswell puts her baby on junk food diet.

Fears are growing for an 18 month old baby that has been raised on chips and is the size of a 4 year old. The Childs mum has defended feeding her 18-month-old daughter a diet of chips even though the child weighs as much as a four-year-old. Angela Boswell who is 33 and from Manchester has said that little Courtney, who is already 2st 2lbs, will grow up to be healthy.

It’s said that her diet even sometimes extends in chocolate, crisps, cereal and Coca-Cola but she steers clear of her greens. Angela said that “I’ve tried giving her healthy food but she won’t eat it. She might have a banana sometimes, or yoghurt, but she won’t touch vegetables - she picks them up and throws them. Most of all she loves chips. I ate a lot of chips in chocolate sauce when I was pregnant with her so maybe it comes from that. I think she’ll be fine when she’s older - I’m not worried at all. People say she’s getting podgy because her tummy sticks out a bit, but it’s just a bit of puppy fat and she will grow out of it.”

Nutritionist Jeanette Jackson has said that “This really is very bad, this poor child. She is only 18 months and already she is chronically obese.”

I would love to smack that woman upside her head.

Had to see what they were talking about.

Ewwww! French fries in chocolate sauce?? Of course the kid won't touch veggies, she's full from the crap mom has fed her.

If that baby is Obese, then mind is a porker... At least from those pictures...

As far as dealing with that picky eater... a.) make everything look like junk food even if it isn't (fun ways to do that). b.) be creative and make desserts with only good fruits and stuff and c.) Starve that brat till it is hungry enough to eat anything you offer it! (j/k about the last).

I don't think that kid is that fat, from what I can tell in the pics. My son is tubbier than that, and I can count on my fingers the numbers of times in his whole life he's even tasted sweets. And even though they get so little junk food, I STILL have a hard time making mine eat veggies! Pureeing them and putting them in other things is about all I've come up with.

I once asked my doctor about one of my toddlers who was not eating as/what I felt she should. She only wanted cookies and applesauce and refused all else.

Doctor told me kids will eat if they are hungry. Even the most finicky kidlet will eat something they have previously refused if they are hungry. They may be stubborn but won't starve themselves to death if there is food. So I provided good meals/snacks and let them eat what they wished of that. No one starved despite a few missed meals.

Part of the reason I hate the folks who starve their young kids is because kids WILL literally eat anything when hungry... paint, dirt, shit, bugs... you name it. Even veggies.

I am really lucky. My 2-year-old eats steamed veggies (no butter), tofu, whole wheat bread, and pretty much anything I put in front of her. But I have always fed her this way, this is how I eat, so maybe she just doesn't know any better :)

I got lucky with my oldest, even as a toddler she would eat all kinds of fruits and veggies. Hell I couldn't (and still can't) get her to eat most meat though. For months I had her believing that crackers were cookies (till my mom showed her otherwise).

But I agree, kids will eat whatever is there to fill their tummies. Even my little piglet now... I swear she will eat and eat. She knows what chocolate is, she knows what chips are, french fries... etc. But she will still eat everything else (especially if we are eating something - we just HAVE to share with her.)

Isn't it amazing that whatever you are eating is what they want... even if they just finished a meal. I think they would eat dog poop if mommy was eating it.

I'm about certain she would at least try it. She might give me raspberries instead though.
