It looks like he was in a tree stand which has very limited space. He let that bear get really close before asking him what's up. He's lucky the bear retreated and didn't keep climbing up. The look the bear had reminded me of my dogs when they've been bad and got caught. LMAO too!

I was out chasing quail one afternoon and stopped for a breather. I saw something moving out of the corner of my eye, and when I looked closer I saw it was a coyote with his head down trying to sniff out a rabbit or something else to eat. Well, I stood still and waited as the 'yote came closer. And closer. And closer. At about 10 feet I said, "Hi".
Coyote stopped. And about broke his neck whipping his head around to see what made that noise.
I said, "How are you doing today?"
Coyote zeroed in on me. And the surprise on his face was almost palpable. His expression as he turned and ran like Hell for the horizon was a lot like that of the bear in this video.
