Pregnant Donna Royer Fatally Shot @ McDonald's Exhusband Mark Suspected,Found Dead

Father shot pregnant wife in murder suicide at McDonalds parking lot while three children waited inside

A mother-of-three was shot to death in the parking lot of a McDonalds by her former husband as her children waited inside.
Donna Marie Royer, 40, from Denver, was shot three times in the chest last night just after 5pm after her estranged husband Mark Royer drove up to her in the parking lot.
About 90 minutes after the shooting, police found Royer's body near his truck at a trailhead near Ponderosa High School, said Parker Police Sgt Doreen Jokerst.
Court records show that Ms Royer was granted a permanent restraining order against her former husband in April, alleging domestic violence.

An eye witness told the Denver Post that the the mother went to her parked car while her middle-aged school children waited inside the fast food restaurant.
A man driving a red pickup truck then drove up to her and shot her three times.
Christine Castello said she rushed to the mother's side as she was convulsing.
'I held her head as she was, like, dying,' Castello said. 'I told her that everything was going to be OK.'
Her daughter was said to have screamed 'Mom' when she saw what happened.
Ms Royer was pronounced dead later in the hospital.
When police found the truck about eight miles away, a SWAT team used flash bang grenades but found no one inside.
They later found the body a short distance away in an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to the Denver Post, tax records list Mark Royer as the president and Donna Royer as vice president of Renewed Hope Community Ministries, which lists the couple's former home address as its location.

As soon as I read the part about the woman rushing out to be by her side, holding her while she was dying, I got chills throughout my entire body. This was a mom who cared - she got out of an abusive marriage, obtained the RO and was still gunned down by this psycho infront of their children, how fucked up. I hate these stories - you expect to hear stories about moms that don't give a shit about their kids, but when it involves ones that do, I feel a different sense of tragedy in my heart.

A terrifying ordeal, terribly tragic. My heart goes out to the family, the children, omg, my heart weeps for them and the unborn child and mother. Should have died twice and lived to remember it.

According to court documents, Donna Royer filed for a permanent restraining order against her ex-husband Mark Royer in April 2010. They divorced in early 2010. She then told the court to cancel the order.The restraining order paperwork says Mark Royer harassed Donna Royer and her new boyfriend at a Starbucks in Denver on March 31, 2010. She says her estranged husband berated her and her boyfriend, so they left the store. Court documents say after Donna Royer and her boyfriend left, Mark Royer called her cellphone repeatedly, saying her boyfriend's mother would "mourn the loss of her son," and calling her a "pathetic piece of s**t."

Cases like this answer the question so many people have about why people stay in abusive relationships. It's because in many cases when they finally (as they should) get the courage to leave for their own sake as well as kids and other loved ones,the abuser does exactly what they've said they will do if the person dares to leave them..and that is to kill them.
As for RO, they aren't worth the paper they're printed on many times.

I get where you're coming from. Many years ago somebody I loved very much killed himself and ended up in the news. Needless to say, things got really rough when people started making hurtful comments. Because while what he did was selfish and stupid, I still loved him.

Right now, the best thing you can do for yourself is stay away from news articles about your family.

But what this fucker did WAS selfish as it can get. IF he wanted to take his life, so be it, but he took two innocent lives with him and shattered many in the after shock. . . way diff. than taking just his life.

Ive been in a similar situation of where your at,a relative murdered by mine and my husbands best friend from kindy
at first your in shock and you defend in your head b/c you cant see them doing something like that
But as time goes on,shock wears off and you will get past the hurt and into the being pissed off
Many here have been through similar situations and you will go through many emotions in the next few months/ years

So like ... I think I already pointed out that I *do* understand how you feel. And I gave you some honest advice without being rude. You ignored me the first time so I'll try one more time: You can't change what people think and you can't stop people from having opinions when your loved one does something stupid and winds up in the news. Clearly you are in shock, I'll give you that, but when it clears and you can think things through, i believe you will know what was done was a terribly selfish act, inconceivable. He had choices the people he killed did not---their lives stolen.
He couldn't let go so he took what he couldn't have. In all honesty I can see getting all crazy over someone you love, entertain insane thoughts.....but to go there, to do it, omg.

Still, it isn't up to you. None of us know what will ultimately become of his soul.
You can wish for peace for those you love and pray for it. . . please do it's all you can do for them.
