Timothy Chandler, a 39-year-old Minnesota man was jailed after he allegedly beat his 3-year-old stepson in the groin over potty training issues.

According to police, an investigation was launched after a 3-year-old boy arrived at the hospital with injuries to his penis and scrotum that required 12 stitches.

Chandler was left alone with his stepson, while the boy's mother was picking up another child from school.

When the boy's mother returned home, Chandler informed her that he "had again punished (the child) with a belt after the toddler smeared feces on himself and a wall."

The mother grew concerned, however, when the toddler was unable to walk and had blood in his diaper. The boy was taken to a local hospital where he received 12 stitches for two significant lacerations to his penis and scrotum.

Investigators believe Chandler became angry and struck the toddler several times in the groin over the issue. The child's mother told police that she was in the process of toilet training her son.

Chandler was booked into jail and charged with felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

If he did indeed use a belt to punish the child, he did it without benefit of a diaper in place. And whipping would be a mild description of the way he wielded the belt. He was looking for maximum pain and suffering and absolutely was aiming for the boy's crotch and tackle. Bastard probably hates that child because he's not his own and is still soft enough to be easily killed. The older ones in school are harder targets.
