Kick in the balls, called Sexual Harassment

Before everything became so PC, weren't school officials more rational?
So now a kick in the balls is now called inappropriate touching, interesting

7-Year-Old Accused Of Possible Sexual Harassment For Kicking Boy In Groin
    December 2, 2011 11:12 PM
Mark Curran, who was accused of sexual harassment for kicking an alleged bully in the groin, will be moved to a new school.
7 year old, Boston Globe, Choking, Christina Hager, Fight, First Grader, Gloves, Groin, Kicked, Mark Curran, School Bus, Sexual Harassment, South Boston, Tasha Lynch, Tynan Elementary School
BOSTON (CBS) – A 7-year-old boy is being investigated by his South Boston elementary school for possible sexual harassment after kicking another boy in the crotch.

UPDATE: Boy To Be Transferred To New School

The first grader’s mother, Tasha Lynch, says she was shocked by the school’s decision.

“He’s 7 years old. He doesn’t know anything about sexual harassment,” she said.

Lynch’s son, Mark Curran, said the boy that he kicked had been bullying him on the school bus ride home from Tynan Elementary last week.

“He just all of a sudden came up to him, choked him. He wanted to take his gloves, and my son said, ‘I couldn’t breathe, so I kicked him in the testicles,’” said his mother.

Lynch described a phone call she received from the school explaining that the case will be treated like sexual harassment, due to what it considers inappropriate touching.

“‘Your son kicked a little boy in the testicles. We call that sexual harassment,’” Lynch said the school told her.

She said she’s been asked to attend a disciplinary hearing at the school Monday.

A Boston Public Schools spokesperson said officials are investigating, but won’t comment further, since it’s a private matter.

Lynch wants an apology and better supervision on the school bus to prevent such fights among students.

“He couldn’t breathe. He was trying to defend himself,” she said. “I don’t find that sexual harassment. I find that defending himself.”

I would say sexual battery if not be a 7 year old boy who is defending himself. That's ALWAYS BEEN THE PROBLEM WITH SCHOOLS, THEY PUNISH THOSE WHO FIGHT BACK. Mother fuckers need to hang their damn heads in shame. Bitch ass cunts.

Next thing you know everyone is going to have to wear burkas with gloves and combat boots because even LOOKING at a remotely sexual part of the body will be taboo.

They must have a bunch of S&M folks running that school. Now way would most people of ANY age take a kick in the groin as anything remotely "sexual".

According to DV, those posts get shuffled off into uh... what's it called? spam folder or something. It stays there till a mod releases it. IF they release it.

Since when has everyone morphed into sniveling, whining, sue happy, not wanting to work but ready for handouts pussies?! Everywhere you turn there is someone bitching and crying about being offended for this or that. I'm not all that old but I certainly remember when kicking a bully's ass was a right of passage growing up. Forced to change schools? Kid couldn't breathe! I'd have kicked him in the balls too.

IMO, the school system nowadays is a joke. Everyone is so pc and worried about offending this person or that person that they are giving diplomas to kids who don't know the basics. My nieces have both officially graduated now and I cringe every time they send me an email or any message. The grammar, spelling and basic knowledge of the English language is not something they were lucky enough to obtain in their 12+ years of schooling. I cringe knowing they are "the future of America".

The schools are a joke because many parents are a joke. Their kid is perfect and everyone else is a miscreant. Parents are quick to bring action for grades or behaviors or anything they don't like. Schools have to work within the framework that has been handed to them. Some of it is ludicrous but most of it is the doing of parents that have forced them into it... not some PC notion that they thought up on their own.

Agree but not completely. Parents are a HUGE part of the problem, but if schools are required to work within the framework given to them, then someone needs to grow a set and quit bending every time someone bitches. Constantly changing to conform to every bitch and whine is only creating more ridiculous versions of one. The end result is stupid kids, lazy country, sue happy citizens. It's pathetic. And I do think that too many people are becoming teachers for the wrong reasons. I know of at least 2 who went into teaching to have their summers off, all holidays off, pension plans, complete insurance packages, etc. Ideally, that would be a dream job but it's a hard one - obviously for the above reasons and more. If they don't have the heart to do it, they shouldn't. I just heard today that our school district is contemplating yet another strike because the teachers aren't happy about having to pay for part of their insurance plans. This will be the 3rd time in 6 years that our school taxes have gone up to accommodate.

I think a big part of the schools being a joke is on the parents but I think a big part is on the staff and faculty. Everyone wants something for nothing. Have to meet the standardized tests - kid doesn't quite get it? Who cares, shove them through. Looks bad when someone doesn't pass. I remember a couple teachers I had growing up to this day. When I had trouble grasping something, they took the time after school to offer me help if I wanted it. Thanks to them, I learned new study habits, which made school easier. If I didn't get something, I failed. There was none of this rounded out bullshit. You learned it or you failed. I had shitty parents who never help or got involved at all in school. Thanks to a few amazing teachers, I graduated with honors and put myself through college. It's not just the parents that make a difference. Teachers are a part of it too.
