A trip to a local cemetery to pay tribute to family turned into a painful nightmare for a family from Milton.

Lydia Peyton, who'll be 2 years old next month, was crushed when a family member's tombstone toppled. Her mother, Brooke Moore, says Lydia's brother stumbled. When he did, the tombstone came down and pinned Lydia underneath. It happened at a cemetery in eastern Cabell County.

Lydia's in Children's Hospital in Columbus with kidney, liver and spinal damage.

Prayers for Lydia Peyton's FULL recovery!

We were taking a picture of Conrad and Lydia at their Great Grandparents grave site since they were both named after them. Conrad was holding Lydia on the top and he was behind her. She hoped down after the picture was taken and was standing in front of the tomb stone and Conrad lost his balance and fell on the tombstone and it knocked her down and they both landed on her. She underwent surgery at Cabell-Huntington. That surgery the stopped her adominal bleeding, stopped her liver from bleeding, she has no use of her left kidney. She was flown to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. They are waiting on the kidney to die and may have to take it out at some point. Her biggest concern at this point is the 6mm movement in her L1 and L2. At this time she is paralized from the waist down and may never be able to walk.
