Newcastle, Australia – According to police, Richard McDonald, 25, suspected his girlfriend was having an affair with her boss when she started spending more time at her new job. The girlfriend decided to leave McDonald in early March. She arranged a moving party, of sorts, to get her out of the home they shared. McDonald reportedly made it clear to the woman and her boss that her boss was not welcome. Despite this, her boss arrived to help with the move. On the day of the move, it was reported that the woman and another woman were struggling with a television when McDonald and another man approached to take over. As the women set the TV down, the woman’s boss came over and said, “Two women struggling with a TV and you won’t even help them, you fucking weirdo.” The boss, picking up the TV, then reportedly added “Does it take two pussies to pick up a TV?” Clearly not amused, McDonald reportedly went upstairs, retrieved a speargun, came back downstairs and went outside in search of the boss.*Witnesses were unsuccessful in convincing McDonald that his new replacement’s nether regions should not be skewered. McDonald fired and the single speargun shot went through the victim’s right buttock, scrotum and left leg. The spear reportedly protruded 1.5 meters out of the exit wound in the boss’ thigh. Hey. *That fucking weirdo is a pretty good shot… McDonald then made his thinly veiled discontent even more known by*reportedly pulling on the rope attached to the spear until it broke [ouchie!] and bashing the victim in the head and body with the gun [double ouchie!]. After, it was reported that McDonald got in his car and drove off – stopping only to ask the victim, “Does it hurt?” McDonald was arrested later that night. The victim was taken to a local hospital where the spear was removed. At the trial, the Newcastle District Court heard that the victim*continues to battle depression and paranoia as a result of the attack. Court documents did not, however, indicate whether the medical treatment and physical therapy administered as a result of the injury were able to cure the victim of being a complete asshole. McDonald pleaded guilty to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He is to be jailed for eight years. He will be eligible for parole in March 2015.
