Probably not a popular opinion, but I wouldn't want these folks in my front yard every night either.

A group that calls themselves Lisa's Angels says they will continue to hold vigils for missing baby Lisa Irwin, but they won't be doing it in front of her parents' home.

At the request of baby Lisa's family, Tuesday night was the last vigil held outside the home on North Lister.

It has been eight weeks since Lisa disappeared, and the group has been holding vigils at the home almost nightly and were not happy they were asked to leave.

The group says they will respect the family's request and move the vigils, but they have not determined where.

Thinking in my current frame of mind, I would not want people out in front of my house either. However, my child isn't mising. I would like to think I would not shoo these kind hearted people off my property who care about my missing child. I don't know, that's a tuffie.

Even will intended, I find it rude they are right in their yard. I wouldn't want them that close to my home prayers, good wishes what not. Don't tread on my property please unless invited.

I heard of this story but didn't initially read this thread because I didn't want to hear about another baby gone forever. It took me a couple of days of off and on reading to get through it and now that I am at the last post, I am upset that there is still no answer to where she is. A couple of observations I made while looking through this thread, news reports and videos:
    1. The dad, Jeremy, looks void. He is an electrician so he isn't stupid but he comes off as a very dim bulb. He doesn't seem to have emotion either. When there is an interview, he just sits there looking down or away (I haven't looked at all of the videos out there but in most of them that I've seen).
    2. Deborah, the mom, seems to be see sawing through the interviews I have seen. One minute, she is talkative and clear, the next she is a blubbering fool, not able to enunciate words. Her crying seems weird. Almost forced and exaggerated. She seems to be able to gather herself in a moments time to speak clearly when she feels she should. Her mouth hangs open when she is crying, like she is forcing herself to look like she's in turmoil. That is just my opinion.
    3. These other people that have stepped in to say they got a call or heard someone tell someone else crap, they are looking for attention. None of what these people have said has been provable information and they seem to keep jumping back in to elaborate on their first story.
    4. Drinking alcohol is not a crime. Many of us drink, many of us drink and have kids. I don't understand why 2 weeks later, it came out that she may have been drunk. I don't believe that she blacked out on a box of wine. I am smaller than her and I could drink the box and just be sleepy and I don't drink a lot. If she mixed it with medication, I can see that maybe she slept very soundly, but blacked out, I don't buy it.

All in all, I have no real opinion on what happened to Baby Lisa because LE has held back so much information. I think they know more than they are letting on and they are waiting to find the evidence needed. That's probably why they have pushed for separate interviews with the parents. Apart they can work on them and also to keep the pressure on them. Just my opinion. I had a lot more while reading but now that I am to the comment part, I can't remember all of what I was going to say.

@nikk077 I agree with a lot of what you said. I always thought the mother looked like she was trying a little too hard to cry in a convincing way. And the wine claim is hard to believe too. I don't know if we'll ever know what happened to Lisa but I hope it all comes out someday.

I have noticed throughout this thread people saying they could drink a box of wine and not be drunk. I'm not sure of the size of the box of wine that she purchased, but most box wines contain 5L of wine. This is about 6 1/2 bottles of wine. Now, I haven't read anywhere that she drank this all, I'm just saying that I don't think the people saying they can drink a whole box know what they are talking about. That's having over 25 drinks. Just thought I would set the record straight on that one. You can definitely black out on a box of wine and not even finish it.

The above poster is right. I am a pretty accomplished drinker and a box of wine would last me at least 3 days.

So...you are saying that this baby stole some wine and passed out somewhere?

    I do not understand.
Yet know, my master, God omnipotent,
Is mustering in his clouds on our behalf
Armies of pestilence; and they shall strike
Your children yet unborn and unbegot,
That lift your vassal hands against my head
And threat the glory of my precious crown.

    re:box of wine

@Nell - exactly! and i love the pic @Pete - I assume you are joking. But just in case you are not, there have been many posts suggesting that mom got too drunk and perhaps rolled over on the baby while sleeing/passed out, accidentally killing her and then panicking and covering it up. Then other posters suggested this wasn't possible since a box of wine wasn't enough to get you drunk. I was just saying for the record that a box of wine has PLENTY of alcohol to make you blackout drunk.

Shortly after baby Lisa Irwin disappeared in October, Amy noticed other shoppers looking at her and her 10-month-old baby, Lucy, in the supermarket.

“I saw people peering down the aisles at me,” the Overland Park mother said. “But I convinced myself that they were probably just looking for a can of green beans or something.”

Then three older women surrounded her.

“How old is your baby?” they asked. One of them pulled down Lucy’s blanket and lifted the baby’s dress to inspect her legs.

Other shoppers whispered and pointed Amy’s way.

“They think this is baby Lisa,” she realized. The woman was checking Lucy’s leg for the birthmark on Lisa Irwin’s right thigh.

The incident — one of hundreds of potential baby Lisa sightings reported to police — ended with Overland Park officers following Amy home and leaving only after she presented Lucy’s vaccination records and insurance card.

“At that point, I was glad people were paying attention,” said Amy, who didn’t want her last name published because of fears for her baby’s safety. “I would want that if my baby were missing.

    “I just thought, ‘Wow. What a day. It’s a fluke.’ ”

But then it happened again. And again. Five times in all, Amy and her husband, David, have had to prove to law enforcement officers that they are indeed Lucy’s parents.

And that doesn’t count the times shoppers have cast dirty looks. Amy worries that someone is always watching her, judging her. She’s afraid to let anyone baby-sit Lucy because they might not be able to prove their relationship with her. She wonders how the negative attention is affecting her three other children.

The family is not convinced it’s over. Police visited their home last week in an incident that Amy ranks as the “worst of all.”

“I can’t tell you how emotionally this has affected me,” she said. “It’s to the point where I’m afraid of going out. It’s very upsetting.”

Amy and David are among hundreds of parents across the country and into Canada who have been asked to prove their relationship with their child because of baby Lisa’s case, Kansas City police said. Of the 1,419 leads received in the case, 422 of them are baby sightings.

But Kansas City police know of no other parents who have been repeatedly targeted like Amy and David.

Kansas City Police Sgt. Sondra Zink acknowledged the case has had far-flung repercussions.

“You think about her family and the detectives and all the peripheral people,” she said. “There is a trickle-down effect with the impact it has had on so many different people.”

When Lisa disappeared Oct. 4 from her Northland home, Amy paid close attention to the case.

“My heart was with the parents,” she said. “Obviously, I have a baby the same age, so I could really identify with them.”

Amy remembers thinking her baby resembled Lisa. They are about the same age and length and they share striking blue eyes. Lucy is a little thinner, Amy said.

“But never in a million years did it dawn on me that someone would report us to police,” she said.

The first incident made Amy want to bolt from the store and leave her groceries behind. Instead, she paid her bill and left in tears. She met her husband for lunch at Taco Bell, where Lucy drew stares from an older couple.

“They were just sitting there, not eating their food, just staring at us,” Amy said.

It didn’t help that Lucy was extremely fussy at the time, crying and pushing away from her parents.

Amy thought about saying something to the older couple but decided against it.

“I wanted to say, ‘This isn’t Lisa,’ ” she said. “But I figured it would just make me look more guilty.”

After David went back to work, Amy walked to her car and buckled Lucy’s car seat. The older man followed her outside and scribbled down her license number.

By now, Amy was drenched in sweat. She drove home, expecting to be pulled over. Sure enough, she said, an Overland Park officer began following her. He followed for three excruciating miles.

“I didn’t know what they were going to do,” she said. “I mean, if they think I have a kidnapped baby, I didn’t know if they were going to come out guns a-blazing or what.”

The patrol car didn’t stop her and Amy pulled into her driveway. Soon an officer knocked on her door.

He asked for her baby’s head circumference at birth. Amy didn’t know. She felt a bit inadequate.

The officer checked for Lisa’s birthmark, reviewed Amy’s paperwork and left.

A few days later, a Johnson County sheriff’s deputy showed up at her door. Again, Amy displayed her documentation and mentioned the Overland Park officer’s visit.

“I hope that doesn’t continue,” he told her.

    But it did.

On Oct. 8, Amy and David went to Metcalf South Shopping Center. Her mother tagged along and bought David some work boots as a gift.

Not long after they returned home, someone knocked on their door. Amy’s 11-year-old daughter looked out the back window and saw a police officer in the back yard. Another officer was at the front door. There were three police cars. The 11-year-old was “freaked out,” Amy said.

The Overland Park officers brought surveillance photos of Amy taken at the mall — detailed images from every angle, including captions that referred to her as middle-aged and overweight. The terms stung.

“It makes you feel absolutely horrible as a person, the way they look at you, like you have a kidnapped baby,” Amy said. “I have no idea what my neighbors think with the police over here so often.”

After 20 minutes of questioning, the officers left. Amy got a police business card this time because she wanted to start documenting the visits.

A few days later, during a trip to Walmart, she noticed an older woman following her. Amy was looking for teething tablets, which were near the children’s cough medicine.

“Oh, does your baby have a cold?” the woman asked. Lisa reportedly had a cold when she disappeared.

    “No,” Amy replied.

The woman followed her to the baby clothing area, where Amy looked for socks.

“What kind of mother doesn’t have socks for their baby?” the woman asked.

Amy explained that Lucy had outgrown her socks. “You need to leave me alone,” Amy told her.

Amy watched as the woman went to the customer service department. A store manager approached Amy. She refused to talk to him.

“If you think there is something wrong, then you should call the police,” she told him.

The police didn’t come for her — that time. But within a few days, she was again explaining herself to officers, who stopped her as she left a grocery store.

They took her baby from her while other shoppers stared at her. The officers searched her grocery bag and looked at her receipt.

“It was 15 minutes of me standing outside this store, having people look at me like I’d done something horrible,” she said. “Meanwhile, Lucy’s going crazy because this stranger is handling her. She’s at that age now where she is scared of strangers.”

Things calmed down in November and Amy thought the worst was over.

But on Nov. 30, when she returned home from an errand, her husband told her an officer had stopped by. David didn’t remember the officer saying where he was from.

    Amy started to worry.

She called Overland Park police, who said they had not sent an officer. She called the sheriff’s office. Another no. Then she called Kansas City police. She had wondered why — in all this mess — they hadn’t paid a visit yet.

But Kansas City said it had no record of an officer going to their home.

“My heart dropped to my stomach,” she said. “I was wondering, ‘Who’s been inside my home asking about my baby?’ ”

A Kansas City commander called Amy back and told her she should file an impersonation report with Overland Park police “the minute you hang up from this call.”

Amy summoned Overland Park officers, who spent 45 minutes taking down every detail of the visit. They pulled nearby surveillance images to try to identify the man’s car. David and Amy checked how secure their front windows were and called their children’s school to make sure no strangers picked them up.

Four hours had gone by when the Kansas City commander again called Amy.

“I have egg all over my face,” he told her.

The man who had visited was a Kansas City investigator who had not yet logged the tip in the database.

Amy and David know that as long as Lisa is missing, the questions could continue.

Amy’s mother suggested Amy dress Lucy in boy clothes. Amy has thought about posting a note on her door that says, “If this is about baby Lisa, contact Kansas City police.”

Kansas City police personally investigate any leads they receive in the metropolitan area. Tips beyond an hour or two drive are delegated to the FBI.

Overland Park police said they don’t know if they ever notified Kansas City about the tips about Lucy.

Kansas City police said they are taking steps to improve communication among area law enforcement agencies for better record-keeping. They encourage people with tips to call the Tips Hotline at 816-474-8477 (TIPS) so the information will be routed directly to them.

A source close to the investigation, who didn’t want to be named, lamented the ordeal that David and Amy have faced.

“Not only were these people bothered,” he said, “we wasted more law enforcement time.”

Amy said she wants people who think they have spotted Lisa to call police, but not try to touch the baby or insult the parents.

“I guess one thing this has taught me is maybe don’t be so judgmental.”

    Thats extreme harrassement
but I remember last year I was at the store or resturant and there was an identical clone to Kyron
and I didnt realize I was staring at him(and I dont stare and hate when people do)
But mom looked and laughed and said"yeah I catch myself staring too, police have approached her more then once b/c people were sure he was"
So its kinda good they have been checking things out but its also a pain for the innocent kids and parents caught up in this mess

I really hope things get better for Amy and her family. This has to be really hard for them, and I'd not want it happening to me, but little part of me is kind of glad b/c it means that the case is still active, and people are still looking for Lisa. I just wish there would be some definite REAL news, one way or another. It's heartbreaking to imagine the different things that could have and might have happened to that baby.

She should maybe take a pic in boys clothes... or someone should doctor an existing pic of Lisa in boy clothes. IF someone has Lisa, she could be dressed like a boy.

Missing Baby Lisa Irwin Case at Three Months; New Lead Found

KCTV out of Kansas City, Mo., reports the lawyers for Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin say new leads have been found and are being followed in the case of missing baby Lisa Irwin. One is listed as "promising," even though authorities have said the number of tips has dwindled. The current lead has supposedly been in the works for weeks. Authorities aren't commenting on the new lead, although family members have said they want to talk about the lead to the public. They aren't sure when the baby's parents or their attorneys will discuss the lead.

The parents of missing baby Lisa Irwin have taped an appearance on the Dr. Phil Show that is expected to air next week, four months after they last saw her.

The show with Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin is scheduled to air Feb. 3, according to a lawyer for the family.

It will be typical Dr.Phil...I wont even say it'll be a "softball" interview because he can't hit that hard!!
I wonder how much the Irwin's got paid? They haven't started an organization yet have they?

When I heard about this Dr. Phil interview, the first thing that I thought was "I wonder if they have started a Baby Lisa Foundation?" The Anthonys have really changed the way I view things like this. I hate The Anthonys for that.......

I've never been totally surprised by the number or circumstances of children going missing. I am surprised by the number that end up in this category. I hate to even think of it. And no matter who we suspect of it, right or wrong, there is at least ONE person walking free that knows exactly what happened. I don't think I could go merrily on with my life knowing it.

Barring a miracle of some sort, I agree and don't think we'll ever find out what happened here.

But mom looked and laughed and said"yeah I catch myself staring too, police have approached her more then once b/c people were sure he was"

I agree, whisper... your reaction and behavior would be the type I'd expect from someone who is sane, though.

It didn't really hit me till just now how scary this could be. We all know there are psychos who have the "best" of intentions out there, and reading about the cop who dropped by and didn't log his actions till later was an incident that should raise eyebrows because it's not often a situation that is thought of but I could definitely see the possibility with some of the people who are caught up in these cases.

Many babies look alike; there are also some older kids like Kyron who seem to have a common look. So many of the posters here have commented "my son/friend/etc" looks "just like" Kyron and with every photo of another child there's some poster who is touched even deeper than the immediate sadness/anger at the situation because their child resembles in some way the child victim.

I agree that with most cases the concerned stranger is probably someone who just takes a double look at the kid and then perhaps watches any interaction to reassure themselves, perhaps at most calling in a tip because usually the child is NOT the missing child. However, there are others who go too far, like the woman wondering what kind of mother doesn't have socks. WTF? Did she expect that mothers obtain sets of socks in every size range before birth and anything less is suspect? That's the type of person who goes too far and is loud mouthed/obnoxious to instigate mob mentality in the right circumstances.

I get surprised when parents are the cause of the disappearance/murder and are the ones who report it. Sadly, I believe that many kids can go missing even in today's world of vital records and very few home/unrecorded births. All the times we read stories where neighbors or family knew of ongoing abuse and after the shit hits the fan and newspapers go for their unique postmortems, they are always sad and "not surprised." If those parents told those so deeply concerned neighbors that the kid had been quiet and not seen lately because the kid had been sent to live with relatives the neighbor would probably breathe a sigh of relief and go on with their business. IF they didn't call before the sudden quiet, they're not going to call when they're thinking they got off without having to do anything and the kid is safe somewhere, probably on the same farm that their parents sent the beloved family dog to when they were kids.

I find it shocking and appalling at the same time that these parents can move back in the house and go on with their lives like they just hit a speed bump and it's over now.

I am in agreement with a couple of people here in that there will probably never be an arrest made in this case, and accordingly, there will be no resolution. We will never know what happened to Baby Lisa. It is my belief that Deborah Bradley KNOWS where her daughter is and what happened to her. Jeremy Irwin knew after the fact and he's covering for Bradley.

Deborah Bradley will be another of those who go down in history as in the MOTY category. There are people who have no business having kids in the first place, and just like Casey Anthony, Deborah Bradley lightened her load either on purpose or by accident and Lisa is gone forever, same as Caylee. Lisa probably won't be found in a swamp, but she's either buried out in the middle of nowhere or she's just lying out there like so much garbage tossed out.

I get sick thinking of mothers like Casey Anthony, Deborah Bradley and some others, like Sky Metalwala's mom. I don't think we'll ever know what happened to him either.

Oh, and I try to avoid Dr. Phil at all costs. I don't foresee any changes in that policy in the near future. Any interview he does with these people is going to be all soft-soap and there won't be any shocking revelations, same as George and Cindy Anthony. Do any of these people have any concept of the meaning of "Blood Money?"

I have no strong interest in watching the Bradley-Irwin duo on Dr. Phil. A little bit curious, albeit, but mostly disgusted. Almost from the beginning the two have been less then cooperative with law enforcement even tho they are still looking for their missing baby girl. And it has always bothered me that they seemed disinterested in utilizing the media outlets in getting info out there about Lisa.
Gotta tell ya, I'd still be out canvasing every reasonable inch of the area to find my baby IF indeed she was taken from her crib, from the confines and safety of her home. Nothing, but nothing could keep me from trying to get answers and fuck what everyone else might think. The bottom line would be getting my baby back.

“…the couple shares their side of the story of what they believe really happened that night“. oh, yes. I'm so eager. not.

They've been hunkered down in their hole of a home and suddenly they are ready to give yet another side of events, their version 1.1.000, pfft. I'm not interested.
All the while, as they ready themselves to sit down in over-sized sofa cushions, and sip on warm tea, a la Dr. Phil, where it will be more a show on "poor little o me" and less about finding their daughter--
    Lisa is still missing.

Seriously? All they are griping about is how many lights were on in the house? Although I CAN see that as being somewhat important, it is hardly that big a deal in the scope of things. I suspect the author of that article of "cherry picking" for the sake of ratings. Damn. Now I am going to have to watch it to see for myself.
