New angle on an old story.... or maybe it's an old angle?
We're talking three cell phones. What if the phones were those throwaway things (you can buy at Walmart?)? Remember how that sort of connected to Elisa and Adam Baker and the prescription drug connection, when it was found that they had beaucoup phones in the house, working and nonworking?
I am addicted to my 'droid phone but it seems that my BIL had one of those things and it was inactive for months so he had to open a whole new account with a different number.
Just me thinking here. Now how it all connects to Lisa's being missing, I haven't figured it out that far. Someone took her for drug money owed? Maybe that's why the phone call was made, and Deborah Bradley does know what happened to her daughter and where she is. Knowing exactly where a missing child is would lead one not to be overly panicked about finding her, or maybe "getting tired" of police questioning.
Just me and my what if imagination.
All morons hate it when you call them a moron. ~JD Salinger

Meghan Wright has said in several interviews that she does not know either of them, by name or in pictures she said she was shown.
As for the phones, I can see a kidnapper taking the phones to delay their use in calling 911. That person wouldn't know that they were not working (if that's so). The GPS isn't a big deal because they wouldn't be in possession for long. If they were taken, they were probably dumped in a river, dumpster, or just tossed randomly shortly after leaving the house. Plus, it doesn't take long to pull a battery and then GPS location is moot.
Another insidious reason for taking the phones would be the amount of personal information contained on most phones. Maybe a kidnapper would take it to look at later to see if there was something they could use in some way? Putting a working phone into Airplane Mode still lets you have access but the GPS and other functions wouldn't work.
On the other side of the coin, the only way I see the missing phones as a "clue" is if Bradley staged the scene. There is no benefit for her not having them except to make it look like someone else took them... along with Lisa.
Still clueless as to which way is the truth.

http://www.kctv5.com/story/15979398/...-for-baby-lisaNeighbors combed woods and other areas near the home of missing baby Lisa Irwin on Saturday.
The search included areas where witnesses said they saw a man carrying a baby in the hours in which she went missing. Lisa's maternal grandparents participated in the search.
Capt. Steve Young, spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department, said Monday afternoon that nothing significant was provided to investigators from the volunteer search. Clothes similar to those owned by baby Lisa were reported to have been found during the search.
[...]
The infant's older half brothers, ages 5 and 8, were interviewed the day she was reported missing. Police would like a have a trained child specialist to conduct a second interview.
Young said Monday that the parents' New York attorney, Joe Taocpina, has not rescheduled those interviews, which were canceled last month.
Baby Lisa's first birthday is Friday.

I wish someone would give us a straight answer..be it the cops or the parents...but based on the few stories i've read it seems that the cops are zeroing in on the mom, and that the parents aren't cooperating with the police anymore.
The mother of a 10-month-old girl who went missing from their Kansas City home said police told her she failed a lie detector test and accused her of being involved in her baby's disappearance.
Deborah Bradley said Friday that police never showed her the results of the test and denied knowing anything about what happened to her daughter, Lisa Irwin. Bradley and the baby's father, Jeremy Irwin, say Lisa was abducted from her crib late Monday or early Tuesday.
"They said I failed (a polygraph test)," Bradley, 25, told the Associated Press. "And I continued to say that's not possible because I don't know where she's at and I did not do this."They've also called off the search apparently.....On Thursday, police told reporters that Bradley and Irwin were no longer cooperating with authorities in their investigations, but the family later released a statement insisting they had never stopped.
The parents reasserted their commitment to the investigation Friday, saying they are not angry with how things have gone and that they understand police have a difficult job to do.

@princessgrandma
It reminds of the Kyron Hormon case. A whole suitcase full of nothing I have to carry around when it should be full.
This game of the obvious suspects cooperating and then not-cooperating is frustrating. i am gonna use a blanket statement, but believe it to be true.

AND a major thing is that you don't keep cops from talking to your other kids who may have seen or heard something. The longer they wait to talk to them, the less they will recall, and their interview(s) will be worth absolutely ZERO.If you have nothing to hide, you live with the detectives until you have an answer, or it truly goes cold.

yes, I agree.
I can understand wanting to protect your children from being traumatized by a battery of interviews with untrained peoples, but
not by "trained child specialist". The children's memory and recollection are fading by the day.
wtf??
What are the chances of finding childs clothing similar to baby Lisa? I wonder if they found any physical evidence in the clothes they reported were in the dumpster fire? and now this? NOT good.Clothes similar to those owned by baby Lisa were reported to have been found during the search.
As a parent in the search for my missing child I would totally lose my shit over them finding baby clothes.

Those kids, especially the five-year-old, probably no longer really remember which night they think they heard noises. Especially because they've probably been scared a lot of the time that THEY were going to be "kidnapped", probably meaning they've been listening for scary noises a lot since then.

@Silvahalo, unless you already knew what happened to your baby. Finding the clothes either wouldn't phase you, or it would be one of those "oops" moments that you hit like a speed bump and keep on going. Sound familiar? Which makes me really wonder about this statement:
Are the clothes in the woods just a rumor? Is it factual but they didn't turn it in? Will I have any hair left in my head when/if this ends?Capt. Steve Young, spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department, said Monday afternoon that nothing significant was provided to investigators from the volunteer search.

Yes, it does sound all too familiar. Of course, I was speaking assuming she's innocent of any wrong doing. Here behavior we might not know how she is reacting, given how things have been coming out on this case.
I'm starting to question a lot that is supposed to be facts.

http://fox4kc.com/2011/11/08/lisa-ir...e-interviewed/FOX 4 News has learned the interviews with the half-brothers of missing baby Lisa Irwin are back on. A source close to the investigation told FOX News the boys will be re-interviewed “sometime this week.” The source would not be more specific.
[...]
Tuesday night, Kansas City, Missouri police would only say they are in discussions with the family over interviewing the half-brothers.
When the original interviews with the half-brothers were scheduled, police said they would be conducted by forensics experts in a setting conducive to child interviews. It’s not known where or exactly when the newest round of interviews will take place, or who will conduct them.
Megan Wright IDs man she said had her phone.
Video at link: http://www.nbcactionnews.com/dpp/new...leared-in-caseA woman Tuesday identified a man she said was using her phone when it got a mystery call from one of the three cell phones stolen from the house the night Lisa Irwin disappeared on Oct. 4.
NBC Action News investigator Russ Ptacek uncovered a September restraining order in Clay County against the man Megan Wright claims has physically and emotionally abused her.
Below is the transcript from the interview with Wright on Tuesday:
Wright: "I absolutely had nothing to do with this. The whole reason I'm involved in this case is because I was trying to be nice and let people use my phone.
I just set it down on the table. Told everybody I was going downstairs with my boyfriend at the time. Told them if they need it feel free.
I was downstairs probably from 5:00 that night until midnight when I was looking for my phone again."
Russ: "So at the time the mystery call came, what happened?"
Wright: "I'm not sure, from what I was told from people who were upstairs at the time said Dane had the phone all night. I don't know if it was answered if it went to voicemail or if he was on the phone at the time.
Honestly I have no clue. I don't know if he answered and tried to leave."
Russ: "But you believe this person had the phone all night."
Wright: "From what I've been told, yes, but without me being upstairs and seeing who had the phone it is hard for me to say."
Russ: "So where is this person now?"
Wright: "I have absolutely no idea. He fell off the face of the earth.
He actually was questioned by FBI."
Russ: "Did you ever ask him about that call?"
Wright: "I battered him about it."
Russ: "What did he say?"
Wright: "He denied answering it. Didn't know anything about it. He did admit answering the phone to a detective who had called, I guess later on that evening or the next day."
Russ: "Where's your phone?"
Wright: "It's been in police custody. I guess it's with the FBI."
Russ: "He denied getting a phone call?"
Wright: "I don't know what was said."
Russ: "But you said you brow beat him about this. And he denied getting a phone call?"
Wright: "He denied answering the phone."
At the end of the video, they mention that another neighbor was also outside smoking with them.
There is a second video at the link which is uncut video of interview with Wright.

After over a month and who knows how much coaching, what do you want to bet that those kids didn't hear a thing that night? There is no way that they would allow those kids to talk unless they knew for sure what they were going to say in advance, especially if one or both of the parents are guilty of something, or know exactly what happened to Lisa.
This sucks. That beautiful little baby. I don't think she'll be coming home, at least not alive.
All morons hate it when you call them a moron. ~JD Salinger

From the very first week, Bradley has said the boys heard noises that night but they (the adults) don't know when in the timeframe of that night it was and had not asked the kids.
Here she repeats it in the October 17 interview with NBC: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26184891...27631#44927631
The police DO need to know and clarify that info. Could be nothing or something.

Yeah, they did hear noises, but could they identify what they heard? After a month, I don't think I could remember what I did on a particular day, much less what I heard. Then again, I qualify as semi-old too.

Oh yeah, with that hair, she's just begging for attention. Of course, if she keeps insinuating herself into a missing child case and it becomes a murdered child case, it might not be so pleasant for her.
I mean, she's not looking so good after admitting that the homeless handyman was her ex-boyfriend either. OK, Meghan, you've had your 15 minutes. NEXT!

If you are ever somewhere and you are the only one with a cell phone, you'd probably just set it down and say "go ahead". It's a lot easier than pulling it out every five minutes for someone to make a call, if you don't have a need to use it yourself.

According to the story I read @Rockin Ma , there were 7 people sharing one phone that was in that chick's name.
I would love to believe that when I die I will live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue. But much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife, I know of nothing to suggest that it is more than wishful thinking.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/...7AA02220111111The two half-brothers of missing baby Lisa Irwin were interviewed on Thursday afternoon for the first time since just after she was reported missing from her home more than a month ago.
The interviews, long sought by police, came on the eve of Lisa's first birthday Friday and at a time when the investigation has shown little visible progress.
The brothers, ages 5 and 8, were home the night Lisa was last seen. Parents Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley had agreed to allow authorities to interview them two weeks ago, but changed their minds.
The interviews on Thursday were conducted by family service specialists, with police and the FBI observing, said Darin Snapp, a Kansas City Police Department spokesman.
The spotlight has faded somewhat from the Irwin case.
Reporters no longer linger constantly outside the Irwin's Kansas City home. A website kept by the family and its supporters, findbabylisa.com, hasn't been updated since October 31. Police are less visible in the neighborhood.
"We still investigate every tip we receive, nothing has changed with that," Snapp said.
Investigators have received 1,205 tips since the baby was reported missing on October 4, clearing 959 of them, Snapp said. If a tip justifies a search, that will happen, he said.
Lisa's parents have not talked with police since days after she was reported missing. Snapp said police are talking with the couple's lawyers about interviews but nothing is set.
The Irwin case is an exception to most child abductions.
About 90 percent of child abductions are resolved within 24 hours, said Ernie Allen, president of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
In the past 25 years kidnapped children aged 1 or younger have been recovered safely 266 of 278 times, though sometimes months or years later, Allen said.
"The vast majority of time they are not taken to harm them," Allen said. "So if someone took Lisa, the likelihood is she is out there somewhere. Somebody knows where she is and what happened to her."
Bradley said police accused her of killing Lisa, but she denies knowing what happened to her daughter. She said she last saw Lisa when she put her to bed the evening of October 3. Bradley said she then drank heavily, fell asleep and that Lisa was missing when Jeremy returned from work early the next morning.
Allen said the couple's reluctance to talk with police does not mean they are guilty of anything. Police commonly focus on the parents when a child goes missing and parents react differently to that scrutiny, he said.
Still, the couple's unwillingness to talk with police raised suspicions to Bill Anders, a former deputy sheriff and corrections officer who lives five doors from the Irwin's.
"If it was me, I'd be hounding all the agencies, I'd be on their doorstep day and night," Anders said.
In any case, Anders said he can only imagine how difficult Lisa's first birthday will be on the family.
"As a parent, I'd be devastated," Anders said.

http://abcnews.go.com/US/missing-bab...ry?id=14931954The parents of missing Missouri tot Lisa Irwin marked the girl's first birthday today by holding a news conference in which their lawyer claimed that police have indicated that they are suspects in Lisa's disappearance.
The police denied indicating to the parents that they are suspects, marking the latest round of sparring between the parents and police.
[...]
When asked if he thought police consider parents Deborah Bradley, 25, and Jeremy Irwin, 29, suspects, criminal defense attorney John Picerno replied, "Absolutely. They've told them as much, Debbie in particular."
Picerno said he was "not at liberty" to elaborate further on the issue.
The Kansas City Police Department denies the claim that Bradley and Irwin are suspects.
"We don't have any suspects," Police Capt. Steve Young told ABCNews.com today. "We still would like to speak to them again."
Police say Bradley and Irwin have not agreed to sit down separately for extensive police interviews since Oct. 8 and say there are still questions they would like answered from the couple. Authorities say the parents have responded to questions regarding specific tips or issues, but have not agreed to unrestricted questioning.
Picerno said that Lisa's parents have participated in over 30 hours of interviewing and, "At this point, there's nothing more to be said." He said that if the police wish to ask specific questions, both he and Joe Tacopina are open to taking the questions and relaying them to the parents.
Young replied, "I don't think it works that way."
Tacopina said that the infant's first birthday is a somber day for the family, especially Lisa's parents.
"This is a very tough day for them," Tacopina said on "Good Morning America." "This is not a day of celebration right now. Obviously, they're very hopeful. They believe that Lisa is still alive, but they're going to recognize this day and deal with this day very privately. This is not going to be something that they wish to share with anyone."
