Stacie Marie Davis bites her baby!

    http://www.wrcbtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=8417294

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - An Algood mother arrested for biting her 9-month-old daughter told police she did so in retaliation for the toothless infant biting her.

Police arrested 29-year-old Stacie Marie Davis last week and charged her with child abuse.

According to the police report, Davis said she was sitting on the kitchen floor with her daughter when the infant became fussy and bit her on the forehead.

The mother said she then spanked the child on her bottom and bit her on her right elbow.

Davis said she didn't mean to leave marks, which Algood Police Officer Mark Steel said were still visible seven to eight hours after the incident.

Davis was booked in the Putnam County Jail, but made a $10,000 bond.

    stupid bitch....

My mom had daycare and she used to tell biters to bite their own hand when they bit another child. It worked 9 times out of 10...but I think even that was questionable.

The baby bit her FOREHEAD? Wouldn't that be a nip rather than a bite? I mean, how big a chomp can you do there? Mom has a a fat fleshy forehead?

Even If she got bit hard in the boob, there is no excuse to nearly take a wad of flesh out of a baby. A toothless 9 month old isn't even doing it on purpose. They have no concept of hurting another person.

Mom is the one acting childish. Hope she ends up childless.

Well at 9 months old the baby doesn't know they are doing something that hurts. Come on lady are you really stupid oh yeah probably.

Now my son went through a biting stage at around 2.5-3 yrs old. He bit his dad on the inner leg so bad he left a huge bruise. He did it to all of us until my hubby bit him back, not enough to leave a bruise but enough to get the idea that it hurt. He never did it again!

    Maybe I'm a child abuser?

Last night, my OCD son hurt his hand (got a blister on the monkey bars). Now, he's OCD, so he was screaming and carrying on like someone was murdering him. I don't blame him. I know it hurts. I had to clean it, and I did, gently.

Then I put a towel over it so he could no longer see it. Then we went and cuddled on the couch and waited for the cursed screaming to stop. It didn't. So I pinched his good arm. I didn't leave a mark, and he stopped howling long enough to look at me like I was a monster. Then I said, "Hurts, don't it?" and he said, "Mommy, what is wrong with you?" But, he stopped screaming. His disgust at my pinch broke the cycle.

Biting babies - never a good idea in my opinion. But who am I since I like to pinch 6 year olds?

When I was breast feeding my oldest child she bit me. At 8 months she had 4 teeth already, 2 on top, 2 on bottom. She damn near bit my nipple off, I am not even kidding. I still have a scar, and she is 12! I yelled NO really loud and yanked her off. She burst into tears because I startled her. It took a month to heal. I honestly should have had stitches.

If my daughter had this bitch for a mom she probably would have shook her to death.

The first time my daughter bit me, was the last. I grabbed her little hand and bit the top of it. Now, when I say bite, I mean I put some of her skin between my teeth, but didn't bite down! It didn't hurt her, but she was still shocked and decided she didn't want my big chompers doing the same damage that she had done to me.

I don't feel what I did was wrong, but my child was 2, almost 3. If she were only 9mo I wouldn't have done anything. This woman is a dipshit for biting her 9mo old toothless baby so hard, that she left a mark.

My baby IS 9 months... And she bites us all the time... its normal, its part of exploration for infants to bite. She is still breastfed and getting teeth... and I have a BIG WTF to this stupid cunt. Yes, I said it, CUNT.

First off, you DO NOT SPANK a 9 month old. Their concepts of right and wrong are NOT formed, and cannot possibly learn from a spanking in anyway shape or form.

Secondly, duh, you don't bite a baby. Period. Let alone hard enough to leave a mark. Yeah we play nibbles with my little one, but NEVER to hurt. (More so we can see her new chompers coming in, woot!). Hell she puts her own fingers in our mouths all the time to explore!

She needs to lose that precious baby forever before she decides that when her baby hits her (which as we all know, it happens and is a common phase); she decides its okay to deck the baby to "show what it feels like."

from what you all are saying, it seems as clear that there is a big difference between startled behavior, discipline and an act made out of anger. i wish this mom could distinguish the dif or that she had the ability to react without the anger. bc it is clear that she acted with anger.

Many children do go through a biting phase. Psychologists recommend parents to be firm and tell their children not to bite. Parents should also have consequences such as time out or removal of a favorite toy.

a 9 month old does not understand Time Out (in the actual need) or the removal of a toy...
