This is all I got. Massive search was expected today with volunteers. Strange I can't find one article about today's events.
http://www.wdtv.com/index.php/home/l...iayah-lunsfordNot much had changed in the search by Friday. Investigators say they've talked to a lot of people.
"All the family members, the neighbors, those are the people who know this child the best," said Killeen.
The changes in weather are a concern and so is the amount of time that's passed. Law enforcement is asking for whoever took Aliayah, or anyone who has any information, to please tell them. You can call the Lewis County 911 Center at 304-269-8241.
An influx in volunteers is expected over the weekend. New law enforcement officers will be brought in so there's new eyes looking for little Aliayah.

From the news 12 site referenced on FB:
http://wboy.com/story.cfm?func=viewstory&storyid=109093UPDATE Saturday 8:00 p.m.
The W.Va. Dept. of Health and Human Resources removed the children living in the Lunsford home on Dennison street at 9 p.m. Friday, county officials said. They did not give a reason.
Search teams are now only comprised of law enforcement and other professionals in order to protect the integrity of the investigation, officials said. Volunteers can organize on their own, but can only search private land with the owners' permission. If they do need more volunteers in the future, officials said they will alert the public.
----- UPDATE
Lena Lunsford hired Charleston attorney Tom Smith Friday.

Seven Days: Weather Affects Search for Aliayah; Crews Remain Hopeful
video-sourceFBI Special Agent Jeff Killeen tells 5 News that the wet weather on Saturday definitely put a damper on the search efforts.
He says that if Aliayah did in fact wander off, the chances of survival are diminishing as we make our way into day eight of the search. He does say that this is still a rescue mission, and all possibilities are open.
And this is interesting.
more blogspot.comWatching the early (and very short) video of Lena Lunsford saying "We want her home" caused Heather to say "she just shook her head 'no' while she said that!", and replaying the video clip, I saw that she was correct, and that Lena looked away. Not being experts in body language, I found the incongruity of her body language to match the unexpected use of the pronoun, "we". Here is the unexpected:
I expected a mother, maternal instincts inflamed, to say "I" in speaking for herself; especially since her husband (or the child's step father) was not present. In fact, if you look at Christopher Dilliham's work, he shows that "we" is used as a form of weakness (where guilt is present, the guilty often seek to spread out the guilt by using "we"; comforting themselves in a subtle manner).
When she said "we want her home" it was the unexpected that needed statement analysis.
"We want her home" is then used to say, by itself, this is concerning that the mother did not use the more personal and stronger, "I"that I expected a mother to say.
Next, she said that law enforcement was doing everything they could.
This was also unexpected.
I expected a mother to be on pins and needles with no satisfaction; only impatience as she frets over her child.
Mother did not make a plea, immediately, for 'whoever has her to return her' or even address Aliayah. Innocent mothers do not need to be coached to address the missing child; they can do nothing else but address their child. The lack of addressing a missing child, or the need to be coached into doing so is a red flag of concern.
We expected Lena Lunsford to show impatience with law enforcement; not resignation. Resignation is something we see sadly creep in after months (see Desiree Young) of failure to find the missing child. Showing impatience, or criticism of law enforcement months later is more likely associated with a contriving parent, feigning anger towards law enforcement much later in time of the case.
[...]
"this is concerning."
But in an almost domino like manner, things surfaced that built upon this concern:
1. Why did law enforcement call press conferences to say nothing?
2. Why was no reward offered early?
3. Since the case was on HLN, why didn't parents appear?
4. Why didn't local media ask mother questions?
5. Why did the family give media a sad picture?
6. Why did the aunt, who lives locally, speak of her in the past tense?

That's ridiculous. It isn't unusual for parents to use "we" in a public plea for their missing child. We could mean the entire family, it doesn't necessarily mean just the mom and dad.I expected a mother, maternal instincts inflamed, to say "I" in speaking for herself; especially since her husband (or the child's step father) was not present. In fact, if you look at Christopher Dilliham's work, he shows that "we" is used as a form of weakness (where guilt is present, the guilty often seek to spread out the guilt by using "we"; comforting themselves in a subtle manner).
That doesn't change the fact that I think her mom knows what happened to her, I just think that particular argument is absurd.

5 NEWS UPDATE: Search for Aliayah Day 10: Investigators "Not Ruling Out Anything"
http://www.wdtv.com/index.php/home/l...out-anythingq-5 NEWS UPDATE: Search for Aliayah Day 10: Investigators "Not Ruling Out Anything"
5 NEWS Update: 10/3 12:20 p.m.
West Virginia Metro News is reporting that the Department of Health and Human Resources removed children from the Lunsford residence on Friday. No reason for that removal has been given at this time.
They also report that Aliayah's mother, Lena, has hired an attorney.
Sunday marked day eight of the search for three year-old Aliayah Lunsford, and police say the search is still being considered a rescue mission.
Investigators say the cold weather and rain caused them to scale back their search efforts over the weekend, using mostly law enforcement based search teams. They say the search will resume on Monday in the same place that they left off at on Friday.
The Appalachian Search and Rescue Team is set to be back out as well.
Police say they are concentrating now on a five square mile radius around the home, based on how far they believe Aliayah could have possibly wandered, but say they aren't ruling out any possibilities and will continue to stay hopeful.
"For a child to survive especially with the weather turning cold and rainy over the past couple of days, we're very concerned if this is a walk-off that this child is in great danger. There is every possibility that we're looking at today and we are not ruling out anything and we're ruling everything in till there comes such a time that we can rule out certain things that have happened to this child, but right now it's an open book," says FBI Special Agent Jeff Killeen.
Killeen says at this point the investigation is a joint effort between federal, state and local authorities, and they will leave no stone unturned. They will continue to search until they find answers surrounding Aliayah's disappearance.

http://wboy.com/story.cfm?func=viewstory&storyid=109093The Federal Bureau of Investigations held a press conference at 2 p.m. Monday in Weston.
FBI officials said they are now considering the disappearance of 3-year-old Aliayah Lunsford a crime.
FBI officials said they are following only evidence now and that the volunteer mission is over.
"The FBI doesn't have suspects but we do have a small universe of people we are looking at," said officials.
Officials said they are considering it to one of three crimes, homocide, abduction or concealment.
Officials would not comment on the DHHR removing children from the home on Friday.

Ahhh! this case is so frustrating to me!
So now they are saying what most of suspected for a while now that they are "treating this case like a crime".
I just hope this little girl will be found and she'll get justice 'if' some one has hurt her.

They know she is dead or they would not have turned away and sent the volunteers home and told them if they wanted to keep searching, they could only do it on private property and at the owners permission. They also know that the mom had something to do with it too.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_1...74-504083.htmlThe disappearance of 3-year-old West Virginia girl Aliayah Lunsford is now considered a crime.
FBI Special Agent Jeff Killeen told media outlets Monday that investigators no longer believe Aliayah just walked away from her Bendale home Sept 24. Lena Lunsford told police her daughter was in bed that morning at 6:30, but there's been no sign of the child since.
Killeen said she's likely been the victim of a homicide or abduction, and that authorities have identified a few people of interest.
More than 1,000 volunteers helped hunt for the girl last week, but as of Monday only professionals remained involved in the search. The target area is a 5-mile radius around the Lunsford home.
Defense Attorney Tom Dyer offered his services for free last week for anyone who knew anything about Aliayah's disappearance. He said he did get a tip from someone he called a credible source, who said someone who is in or has a relationship with the family is responsible for Aliayah's disappearance, reports CBS affiliate WOWK.
Aliayah's family was moved to an undisclosed location last week and the home was roped off with crime scene tape.
Aliayah is about 3 feet tall and 35 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last wearing purple pajama bottoms and a pink sweatshirt.
No Amber Alert was issued after she vanished because the case didn't meet the requirements of that program. Amber Alerts require a vehicle description or license plate number, and investigators didn't have either.
Lena Lunsford has four other children, from 9 months to 11 years old, and is eight months pregnant with twins.

http://www.wdtv.com/index.php/home/l...ah-found-aliveA fake WDTV Facebook posted that Aliayah Lunsford, 3, was found alive Monday night and that our site was streaming live coverage. That was not true and the page wasn't created by anyone associated with 5 News.
Facebook was contacted immediately and the site was removed.
On Tuesday, we spoke to FBI officials who say postings like this can affect an investigation. While detectives won't follow it, the information gives a false impression to the community.
"It does not help an investigation. If people are going to come forward and all of a sudden they think they don't have to anymore because the case has been resolved, and that's not true, that certainly doesn't help things," says FBI Special Agent Jeff Killeen.
Killeen says the situation will be handed over to the FBI Cyber Investigative Squad to see if actions could be taken up in state or federal court.

There are people that create pages for missing kids. Those people have NOTHING to do with the case, the family, or the community. They are nothing more than FB versions of our threads and frequently unmoderated or out and out fake.
I know of one person that does it for almost every missing kid in the news. When I see what I suspect is one of her pages I refuse to link them here. (She kicked ImpQueen off one of her pages and the aunt of the missing child) Anything that is gathered by that type of site is exactly the same as what out members post here... readily available public media sources.
I prefer the FB pages that are setup for and by those somehow involved.

911 Tapes Released in Case of Missing 3-Year-Old

Updated Tuesday, October 4, 2011; 08:38 PM
WESTON -- WBOY has obtained the 911 recordings from the morning of Sept. 24, when Lena Lunsford reported her 3-year-old daughter, Aliayah missing.
The recordings include two separate calls.
Lunsford said Aliayah woke up sick with flu-like symptoms around 6:30 a.m. She also said three of Aliayah's four siblings were home the morning of the disappearance; an 11 year old, a 9 year old and an 8 month old.
You can listen to the calls. . . . VIDEO PLAYER
Defense Attorney Tom Dyer also said he received a credible tip that gives authorities reason to believe Aliayah is alive.
Authorities have made the State Police barracks in Lewis County their headquarters. They are following up on several pieces of evidence found during last week's search.

After everything I have read and seen, I can't think of anything that would lead to that baby being found alive. She was supposedly sick the night before. A sick child is not going to wander too far from Mommy, or not any sick child I know of. Mine were always so clingy when they were sick.
I think that something happened in the home, either by accident or intentionally. Someone left drugs around and she got into them and died, or she was disciplined so badly that it killed her, or an accident happened in the home that someone is afraid that neglect charges could lead to murder charges. You've got 5 kids in a home, and no one sees kids outside the home playing. There's something wrong with that.
After so much time, I really can't imagine that she's going to be found alive and unharmed. That's just my feeling, but it's strong.

If it wasn't the mother it had to be someone in the home. I don't think it's possible that a house with that many people wouldn't notice someone coming in and snatching the kid. When my kids that small are sick they generally bunk with me anyway.

WESTON -- After 12 days, Aliayah Lunsford, 3, is still missing. She disappeared from her Lewis County home September 24.
Legal representation and law enforcement including federal, state and county agencies met Wednesday to discuss the progress of the case.
Though the FBI said Monday it was concentrating its search in Lewis County, authorities are also now looking outside the county.
[...]They do have reason to believe Aliayah could be alive, said attorney Tom Dyer, who received what he called a "credible tip" after he offered his services free to any perpetrator. They've mentioned this again. A possibility she's alive. Sure, possible, but not likely at all. I think the FBI may be putting this info out intentionally to rattle the parents, see how they behave and what they might say.CHARLESTON, W.Va.-- Special agents with the FBI don't think 3-year-old Aliayah Lunsford walked away from her Weston home on Sept. 24.Special Agent Jeff Killeen, of the FBI's Pittsburgh office, said authorities instead are now treating the case as an abduction, homicide or a concealment.
"Those are the three crimes we're looking at," he said.
Killeen also said authorities are looking at persons of interest in the case. However, a specific suspect has not yet been identified, he said.
Killeen would not comment on whether any members of the Lunsford family are considered persons of interest.
. . .
"There is no evidence in the wooded areas to show that she (Aliayah Lunsford) is out there," he said.
Killeen said a 3-year-old could have made it only a short distance from her home on her own.
IF you knew your child was dead as you were party to it in some way, what a great way to get you nervous wondering wtf they are up to, or just confusing you on what they have learned. Just days prior the FBI said clearly they were looking at specific types of crimes.

Lisa?I caught a snipit of the parents on GMA (Good Morning America). The mother did appear sincerely distraught, the father more in shock than anything else, as he seemed rather stoic and said very little. The mother said the siblings are having a hard time and the 8yo specifically asked "where is Pumpkin Pie?" , Lisa's nickname. God that was so sad.
The father did mention that, "the window was open and the bedroom light was ON. The front door was unlocked." Christ. wtf happened to baby Lisa
