Jarrett Reed Charged After Shaking 3m/o Maliah To Death

St. Charles, Mo (KSDK) -- A 22-year-old St. Louis man is accused of killing a three-month-old girl he was watching.

St. Charles police said prosecutors charged Jarrett Lamar Reed with abuse of a child resulting in death.

Officers responded to the Bel Rae Apartments in reference to a child not breathing on August 26. Maliah May Thomas was taken to an area hospital where she died.

Police said further investigation revealed Maliah died from major internal injuries consistent with shaken baby.

we've been living very close to saint louis for less than a year now, and it seems like every day the 'most violent city in the country' (or however it's worded) thing is reinforced. especially against children..
