    Front Page floating bar (widget?)

I have noticed this for maybe the past few weeks and I can't find a fix. When I following a link to a front page article, there is a vertical social bar hovering over the article preventing me from reading the right side. When I scroll, it stays in place. It includes a +1 for Google, a Twitter link, a fb link, and also "email" which brings up a "sharethis" control panel. I'm not sure if sharethis controls the entire bar.

Any ideas on how to get rid of this so I can read the articles?

    (I'm using IE9 and Vista)

    Thanks!

@Morbid is in charge of the FP. I'm sure he'll have an answer.

Until then, try switching to a different browser. I use Firefox and it works fine. Although, it also works fine on my IE 9 so I dunno

And while you're at it, Morbid. I don't know if this is related but I noticed this occurs on my Firefox: Image links that appear at bottom of articles float off to the right instead.

    Currently 1280x800
The backlight on my laptop went bad, so I am currently hooked up to an external monitor. I guess it is a safe bet that this could have something to do with my problem? That thought hadn't really occurred to me until you asked about my display. I will read the FP from my phone until I get my laptop fixed. Then I will let you know if I am still having problems. But let me know if it is something as simple as adjusting my resolution.
    Thanks!

AHA. It took a while, but I got my display settings to 1280x1024. I'm surprised that's not where they were in the first place. Everything looks good now.

Thanks for letting me know about this. Normally, the Share Bar should not display on low resolutions because of the reasons you have seen. I'll double-check the code and see why it was displaying anyway -- even though you had an external monitor hooked up, you'd think it would still detect that.
