Rubi Cabrera Arrested After 2m/o Suffers 2 Broken Legs,Skull Fractures & More

An Arlington Heights woman faces child abuse charges for allegedly repeatedly shaking her 2-month-old baby by the legs, police said.

Rubi Cabrera, 19, of the 0 to 100 block of South Dryden Avenue, was charged with aggravated battery of a child after Cabrera’s pediatrician noticed injuries during the boy’s two-month check-up Friday, Cmdr. Kenneth Galinski said.

Upon his request, she took the child to Lutheran General Hospital, where staff found the child had fractures in both of its legs and skull as well as facial bruising and cuts, police said.

The Department of Child and Family Services was called in to investigate and confirmed that the injuries, received in only the last month, were child abuse.

Arlington Heights police took Cabrera in for questioning Saturday, where she allegedly admitted she often becomes frustrated with the child’s constant crying. She told police she had, on several occasions, jerked him violently by his legs while changing his diaper and once he struck his head on the frame of the bed, Galinski said.

The 2-month-old was immediately placed with DCFS.

Good thing for that. Baby would be dead soon.
Fucking hell woman. Babies can be nerve racking, constant crying is hard to deal, get that but beating your baby is not the answer.
Think now how it is grossly disgusting to beat on a helpless child...your own baby for that matter---dig deep now, cataloged back in your worthless brain somewhere....ok, guess that didn't register.
OK, how about this. Take a break, walk the fuck away collect yourself, ask for help....you dumb, stupid bitch. You fail miserably.

    heal completely little one.

Obviously this chick has never cared for a baby before giving birth to this little man.

Stupid fuck, if you can't handle a crying baby enough to not hurt him, maybe you should have kept your legs closed or got on some form of birth control.

Babies cry because they need something, whether it be food, changed, comforted, they are in pain from gassiness, etc... They do not know how to express their needs. Why is it so hard to understand this shit?

Speak....for the children who cannot speak for themselves.
Listen.....for their cries as they try to ask for help.

When my 11 yr old was an infant there were times when he would just start on a crying jag and nothing seemed to help.My husband was often the one with him as we worked opposite shifts. He would put in his earplugs and carry the baby for hours loving on him until he calmed down.He still swears by it to this day.

I'm thinking she's seen too many movies and shows where the midwife or ob holds the newborn upside down and shakes it to get it to cry. Old stuff, you know. Maybe she thought that looked like the thing to do . . . over and over. Don't forget, too, that colicky babies cry.
