A group of neo-Nazis in Germany proudly wore T-shirts that showed off their hate-loving ways - until they got lessons in tolerance from their washing machines.

Haters at a far-right-wing rock music festival in Gera, Germany Saturday scooped up 250 free T-shirts that had the message "Hardcore Rebels - National and Free" emblazoned on the front under a skull-and-flags design, London's Guardian newspaper reported.

But once it was time for them to wash their swag, the dirty shirts came clean - revealing a much different message.

"If your T-shirt can do it, so can you. We'll help to free you from right-wing extremism," the newly washed shirts read, according to the paper.

The T-shirt stunt was the work of Exit Deutschland, a group that provides counseling for neo-Nazis seeking to leave the movement. The washed version of the T-shirt included contact information for the group.
