Two men accused of sexually assaulting woman in assisted living facility A Shenandoah County Circuit Court grand jury will consider a charge of rape later this month against one of two residents of a New Market assisted living facility accused of sexual assault.

General District Judge W. Dale Houff certified the charge against Thomas Neil Elliot III, 37, during a preliminary hearing on Monday.

Elliot, who remains in custody at the Shenandoah County Jail, was a resident of Shenandoah Valley Village on Feb. 27, when he and Zachary Joseph Acome, 23, are accused of raping a 66-year-old female resident late at night. The facility, described on its Web site as a place that provides affordable housing for special people

It is a tard house. The charges against the guys will be dropped because of their lack of good brain cells. They just won't be allowed to live in co-ed housing anymore.

I don't mean to come across as an uncaring, hard ass or anything. It is something that had to be reported to the police and the police had to act on it. It appears that the hospital didn't want to do the rape exam. I am not saying that it wasn't horrible for the woman and something shouldn't be done to the guys who did it.

Not uncaring w8. To the point. They will get a therapy of some sort... although the guy's MySpace looks like he could tolerate a bit of jail time.

My sister has lived in a co-ed group homes for 20 years. We always look at her house mates and their capabilities. No problems so far but that is not to say we rest easy. Right now both men in the house are severely physically handicapped. I am sure she drives THEM crazy as she also has a mental handicap. To know my sister is to love her. That can be a problem.

ANY mentally handicapped individual that needs assisted living yet is capable of "adult interaction" should not be in a co-ed living situation. common sense.

I'm sorry to be tickled by that statement, but I am. I worked in a tard house for several years - and our tards were hella sexually active. We actually had to teach classes on sexual responsibility. Of course, we never had a rape. While it is horrible for the woman, when you are dealing with people with IQs of less than 70 (Mr. Tard looks to be hugh-functioning), then you most likely won't see any sort of charges.
