Oddly, if a Muslim did this, there would be screams about not lumping ALL Muslims in with him but if it seems a Christian is involved, lumping is acceptable.

TSA the USA secret police, not an international agency some seem to mistake it for, monitors, trains, buses and ports, so this being an island had it been in the USA it could've involved TSA :-)

I think when lumping was added there was an assumption of implication of TSA being involved. Just calling like I see it.

Norwegian gunman Anders Behring Breivik has been formally charged with acts of terror over the 77 people he killed in twin attacks.

The 33-year-old also faces charges of voluntary homicide, according to a 19-page indictment presented by prosecutors.

The charges carry a penalty of up to 21 years in prison, although his imprisonment can be extended for as long as he is considered a danger to society.

Whatever Norway is doing, it is working. All I can guess is they did not get invaded by illegal immigrants who banded together here to make gangs. This guy got past all the safeties put in place because he was fairly well off. Illegal weapons (or those used during the commission of a crime when legally permitted [rare]) are confiscated and destroyed not sold back to the public unlike here where they auction them off to raise money.

I can't disagree with that. People in Norway have never been exposed to guns. My friends parents came here to visit her. They were over for dinner and he said he had never held a gun. I couldn't believe that. So I brought a few out and we shot off the deck. He liked it, but I think your right, if we had no guns, killings would decrease. Do you think gang violence would decrease if guns were not available? i suspect there would be more bombings, but less crimes of the moment. Cuz with a bomb you kinds gotta plan it out, and a knife takes effort. Guns really are a cowardly weapon are they not?

A second psychiatric evaluation of Norwegian mass killer Anders Behring Breivik has found him sane enough to face trial and a jail term.

The findings contradict a previous evaluation, published in November, that found him legally insane.

Breivik is due to stand trial on Monday over a bomb attack and shooting spree last July that killed 77 people.

The 33-year-old, who insists he is mentally stable, was "pleased" with the new assessment, his lawyer said.

Geir Lippestad told reporters his client would defend his actions during his 10-week trial, adding, "he will also regret that he didn't go further".

Both reports will be considered by the court when it decides, at the end of the trial, whether he should be sent to a psychiatric ward or jail.

If Breivik is deemed to have been sane at the time of the killings then he could face 21 years in prison with the potential for indefinite extensions to his term as long as he is considered a danger to the public.

The second evaluation was approved by a court in January following widespread criticism of last year's assessment that concluded he was psychotic at the time of the attacks and diagnosed him as a paranoid schizophrenic - meaning he would most likely be detained in psychiatric care.

Many of his surviving victims believed he was sane, and that the only proper punishment would be a prison sentence.

"Our conclusion is that he is not psychotic at the time of the actions of terrorism and he is not psychotic now," psychiatrist Terje Toerrissen, who carried out the second assessment with fellow psychiatrist Agnar Aspaas, told the Associated Press.
