CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. - Chester County authorities have indicted a young couple on murder charges after investigators said
they
starved their baby to death.

Stephanie McCarley and Devin Davis face first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse charges.

Their 6-month-old son, Clever McCarley, died back in April. After his death, a doctor ordered an autopsy, because the baby
weighed
only nine pounds.

The coroner's report concluded he died of complications from chronic starvation.

McCarley and Davis are each jailed on a $250,000 bond.

Thanks for posting the picture. Some people are so fucked up. It really isn't fair for people like this to be able to have children and others who would be wonderful parents not to be able to. And if you don't want it or can't take care of the child, there are options
like adoption. One thing you have to wonder about though, is the fact that since this wasn't something that happened overnight,
where were the grandparents, family, or friends? Why didn't someone step up prior to this baby's death and do the responsible thing and report the abuse or just simply take the child?

Hello Shelia welcome to dd and all it's reading horrors.
Because people suck. Really, I have thought on this very thing time and again, and comes down to apathetic, useless, piecesofshit, so called "family". There are so many suck as people with out a damn care for anything but for themselves, it sickens me that we share the same air. Also, it was too much of a bother to contact authorities, or they kinda tried to tell the mom something. I've heard so many pathetic excuses I forget them all.

McCarley told investigators she noticed Clever was not gaining weight and that she fed him more food, trying to get him to gain weight. She said she believed he was slowly gaining weight.Davis told investigators that anytime he fed Clever, the baby ate well. On April 21, he said, he noticed Clever did not have much energy and he told McCarley to take the baby to the doctor.
Medical records show that McCarley took her son to Dr. Rick Rickard's office on April 21. The baby weighed slightly more than 9 pounds, the records show. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance from the doctor's office.

What kind of people are the kind that kill babies? you seem them walk by you every day. You just can't tell by looking at them. Looking at those two up there make me want to smash their faces in.
