Woman Finally Gets Rape Case Justice After 18 Years

Diligent police work and advances in technology are responsible for bringing this to light after 18 years!

Willie Williams is under arrest for robbery, kidnapping and rape which happened in 1993.

That’s a looooong time for the victim to wonder, is he still out there? Is he stalking me? Thank goodness they finally caught him.

Ya wanna know how? Read on.

“Police Officer Christopher Levy credits the work of a lieutenant in the department's Investigation section.”
They never say the lieutenant’s name to give him credit, but I applaud him for workin a case that’s so very old and not givin up.
The lieutenant was able to take fingerprints and DNA evidence from the 18 year old crime to the Alabama Dept of Forensics Sciences (or D-S-F)
“According to Levy, "(The lieutenant) brought it to DFS to use it against current technology for DNA comparison, which wasn't available in 1993. They did that, and came up with Willie Williams."
Williams, havin a long memory too, was arrested Tuesday night by Fort Walton Police after he jumped out of a car worried that he was wanted in Mobile. Bwaaa haaaaaa. This guy ran for 18 years?!?

Authorities have contacted the victim to make sure the case can go forward.

I don’t know about you, but I would be dancing in the streets if they found this running rapist. HOW he got away with it for so long is anybody’s guess. I’m just glad they caught this guy, even if it is just for jumpin out of a car.
“When asked if the victim is relieved, Levy said, "I'm sure she is."
“Jerry Sommer is with The Lighthouse, a Baldwin County social service agency that helps sexual assault victims.

She said, "I think its probably a really good thing for the victim, after all these years, to put some type of closure on that situation. Its hard to imagine the fear someone would experience, knowing that the person who assaulted them has been out there all these years."
Touche’ my friends. Could some diligent officer in my neck of the woods take care of my ex too? Pah-Leeeese??

Williams will be taken to Mobile.

He was being held at the Okaloosa County jail.

I'm glad this creep was finally caught. The last 18 years must have been hell for this poor woman, not knowing where he was or if he was out there waiting for her every time she left her home. I cannot imagine having to go through that for so long.
