If I remember right, the only connection this zenaida had was that she lived at the Sawgrass where her bf lived. was there more to it? Casey can claim it is the worlds hugest coincidence, but this is not a trial with shadow of a doubt shit. This is a jury with way more lenient thinking. I hope they are able to tell the whole story.

I don't think she can stick with the Zanny the Nanny story since her defense told the world that George molested her and subsequently woke her up in the middle of the night accusing her of neglecting Caylee. They went on to say that Caylee was found dead in their pool. So, the whole Zanny the Nanny b.s. won't fly. I think this lady should see some dough just for the sheer inconvenience she went through having to defend herself after Casey told her big story. I'm not one to support frivolous lawsuits, but in this case, I am okay with it.

As I recall, Casey gave a name similar enough to Zenaida. If Casey had known Z. for many years and used her as a babysitter, Casey would have given a more precise name, as she did with everyone else she ever met. Casey also gave the correct names of two of Z.'s children, and the correct make of Z.'s car. The connection of Z. to the Sawgrass was that she took a tour of the place and filled out an info card. I think the boyfriend was Dante and his girlfriend was Amy. Casey was known to spend many days visiting Amy at the Sawgrass.

Preps Under Way For Casey Anthony Civil Trial

Trial Scheduled To Take Place In April

Despite a request to delay the case, the wheels are in full motion to put Casey Anthony on trial again next month in the same courtroom she was acquitted on murder charges last July.
Anthony is being sued by Zenaida Gonzalez, a Kissimmee woman who claims her name was ruined when Anthony said a woman by the same name had kidnapped Caylee Anthony.
On Monday, court administrators told members of the media that they plan to hold the civil trial in the very same 23rd floor courtroom as Anthony's criminal trial from last year. Reporters will even be assigned the exact same seats.
The civil defamation trial is scheduled for April, but Anthony's defense plans to ask for a 60-day trial delay Tuesday morning.

So far, there are no plans to sequester the jury for the case. The trial is expected to last about a week, far less than Anthony's trial last summer.
It's unclear whether or not Anthony will be present. Gonzalez's attorneys want Anthony in the courtroom the entire time and plan to ask Judge Lisa Munyon to force Anthony's legal team to give up her address so that she can be served with a subpoena.
Anthony's attorneys argue that the media circus of the first trial "is about to be repeated." They argue that Anthony's motion for summary judgment should be granted to avoid the "enormous costs" of what they call "Casey Anthony II."
Each side will argue why they are entitled to summary judgment on March 23, which would avoid the need for a trial. If those arguments are unsuccessful, the trial is scheduled to begin April 10.

Defense Team Denied 60-Day Extension




An orange County judge denied a Casey Anthony civil case defense team motion for a 60-day trial extension Tuesday.

Defense attorneys said they requested the extension in part because they have a motion for summary judgement pending and because tax dollars could be wasted on preparing for a trial which may not happen.

"I'm going to deny your motion for summary judgement but I will give you time for more hearings," Munyon said.

Lawyers for Zenaida Gonzalez scoffed at the notion that Anthony, the woman who sent law enforcement on an expensive goose chase looking for her daughter Caylee, would worry about wasting tax dollars now.

Judge Lisa Munyon granted more time for the two sides to argue competing motions for summary judgement on March 23 If those are unsuccessful, Munyon ordered the trial to go on as scheduled April tenth.

At that March 23 hearing, Munyon will also decide whether to enforce a subpeona from Gonzalez attorneys requring Anthony attend her 2-week trial.

Gonzalez is suing Anthony over statements she made to law enforcement officers that a woman named Zenaida Gonzalez kidnapped Caylee.
