BOISE -- Two people are under arrest after police found a small child living among human feces, rotting food, and trash.

In March, officers helped Health and Welfare agents perform a welfare check on a small child. When they entered the home on the 3600 block of Patricia Lane in Boise, they found human waste, rotting food, and garbage all over the floors. Police also found sharp objects on the floor, and a holethat had been covered with a carpet.

Cynthia Seeley, 29, and Christopher Rose, 25, are both under arrest and charged with injury to a child.

BOISE, Idaho - Boise police say two people have been arrested after they say they found a child living in horrific conditions.

Officers say they found the small child, under the age of four living in deplorable conditions. Officers describe a home with human feces, rotting food and trash all over the floors. Police also noted a hole in the floor covered with carpet and sharp objects on the floors.

The child was turned over to the custody of the State Department of Health and Welfare. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrants

How is it that people can just walk around a turd on the carpet, or several turds ? But here it is, two people, of several, that have the firm belief that shit and garbage are perfect living-room decor, that baby can play in. Ooo, the added bonus is the mad skills baby had to avoid sharp objects and the pit trap.

Also how do things get to the point that shitting on the floor seems like the right/cool/fun thing to do or the only alternative???

I have two possible scenarios: 1) the waste in question is the baby's. Maybe they let her run around bottomless so they don't have to change her diapers and she isn't reliably potty trained? 2) the waste is theirs or one of theirs. They are serious alcoholics or addicts and too wasted to get up and get to the toilet. (Sad to say, my brother was like this just before he became homeless.)
