PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- Police said a mother and father were arrested during a crack bust, and had their children with them in the car at the time of the bust.
The two were among a handful of people arrested during an undercover drug bust over the weekend.
In addition to drug charges, Chuck Parker and Simone Stevens face chares of endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said the children, ages 5-years- and 3-months-old, were in the car when their parents conducted the alleged drug deal around 4:00 p.m. Sunday.
Police said four people were arrested in total. Another man, Moses Ehiabhi, was arrested after struggling with officers. Police said they were forced to use a taser on Ehiabhi. Two detectives were injured during the struggle, according to police.
Later, police arrested Bobby Hemmingway, of Connecticut, at a Portsmouth traffic circle in connection with the other arrests.
Police said Hemmingway had more than $1,800 in crack cocaine on him when he was arrested.
