DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) - The Livingston Parish coroner said Judy Ballard Posey, 57, died from multiple blunt force injuries. He would not go into many details, but called it a "brutal beating."
Meanwhile, the victim's sister described the alleged killer as a "mad man" and someone even she was scared of.
"I was shocked. (I) couldn't believe it, still don't believe it," said Judy's sister Rebecca Ballard.
A sister in disbelief, but said she did see this coming. Saturday around noon was the last time Ballard spoke with her sister Judy.

"We have reports of a female walking the road who fit her description - hunched over holding her stomach like she was obviously hurt in some sort of way," said Ard.
At their Dunn Road home, Ard said there were signs of a struggle.
Even though Ard said deputies have never before been called to that home for a domestic dispute call, Ballard claims this was not the first time Miller allegedly beat her sister.
"When we got to the store, we were going to go in," said Ballard. "And she got out of the car, he had tried to reach over and hit her. Then she run around the car, and he run around the car to try and hit her."
Ballard said she told her sister many times to leave Miller but she said she refused to out of fear.
Miller is now charged with second-degree murder.
"I don't think he should have did it because she didn't deserve it. She would give you the shirt off her back," said Ballard.
Ard said Miller has been arrested fives times before -- mostly for disturbing the peace. One included simple battery to an elderly couple, but never for a domestic dispute.
