I wrote my own haiku, but my session timed out and it was lost to the internet - a zen experience. Apart from the swearing.

I often wonder why I joined a forum where I am so frequently left speechless.You guys - I love you guys. No really. Man, you're not lishening to me. I LOVE you guys :P

Is this the thread where I can ask for advice about raising my kids and post brag items?

The reason I come to DD is because I learn alot, and I'd like to show how I apply that knowledge to my own ghetto situation.
I've just taken full custody of the kids this year and am about to start domestic violence counselling with the teenage daughter. I've applied to the govt for a housing address transfer - I have to get out of the cluster of hood-rats that have built up over the last six years.

I have a brag item, we got the teenagers report card, and it was good, very very good.
Decision to take full costudy has had positive results. That means I've got a battle ahead, possibly. Mediation (pre-legal) starts in two weeks and I have to sit in a room with him :S

I will take half of the very sage advice. I will appear fabulous. I doubt I can convince anyone I want him back though, even for a joke... it's hard to hit on someone while you are dry-retching :l

On another note, my boyfriend of two years is really starting to bond with my kids. It's natural, we grew closer, but it's still scarey for me. I've been in charge for so long, giving up a little bit of the pressure to someone else is absolutley terrifying. And all he does is play games with them when I'm tired of providing entertainments. I do believe I'm jealous when he shows the son how to skate. I've allways been the awesome adult who showed them all the stuff. Now I gotta share my kids, and I'm the old, tired, cranky one ... HE"S the cool one. I'm left there almost in tears. (ALMOST)

Anyone else had this? Or has advice?

No advice but don;t it feel good to see someone else who can love, appreciate and enjoy your kids almost* as much as you do?

*almost, because NO BODY can love your kids as much as their mama can!!!! LOL

I've taken it very slow with this man, I adore him but he's got no kids and I read alot here. Hah. He wants kids, and I'm still young enough to want more.

I should probably lay off the DD for a while.

I did. My oldest is 16. My youngest is 3. It is hard work to parent a toddler when you are older, but your patience is better.

It's going to be a big jump for us - my teenage daughter takes alot of my time.... how did/do you cope Nell?
I mean new baby-nap times and mum-teen-taxi hours are pretty much the same, huh?!
