Harry Potter actor, Rob Knox, fatally stabbed.

Robert Knox had every reason to look forward to life. Only a few days earlier he had finished filming his part in the latest Harry Potter film, The Half Blood Prince.

Playing the role of Marcus Belby, a Ravenclaw student at Hogwarts school, alongside Hollywood star Daniel Radcliffe was surely going to be the start of a promising career.

Little wonder that Robert was in a good mood when he joined friends for a drink at the Metro bar, close to the home he shared with his family in Sidcup, a middle-class suburb of south-east London.

But within a few hours of waving goodbye to his mother he was lying bleeding to death on the pavement.

I wrote a post on my blog once about crime in England. The official stat was that a person gets stabbed there every 24 minutes.

My wife has a site about MRSA and she was just telling me that 20 patients a day die in the hospitals of MRSA.

The moral of the story is that if you want to go to Europe, try Italy.
