Coupeville, Wa- A man who volunteered in the drama dept at Coupeville schools, killed himself after being arrested for possessing child pornography, according to Island County Sheriffs Office.
Detective Ed Wallace said the FBI provided the sheriffs office and marshals office with initial information that 56 yr old Charles Skow was in possession of kiddy porn. As part of the joint operation, investigators from both offices served a search warrant on Skows home on April 28th, and seized a computer and associated devices.
Wallace, the depts computer expert, said an initial examination of the computer and storage media revealed numerous images and movies of child porn.
Skow was booked and held in Island County Jail. On April 29th, Island County Superior Court Judge Vickie Churchill found probable cause for Skows arrest on suspicion of possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit activities. He was PRd and ordered not have contact with minors.
May 5th, A welfare check at Skows home revealed Skow dead of a self inflicted gun shot wound.
