"I just want to cry." Tracy Eden has a son who used to attend "Kountry Kare" and a daughter who still does. Now Eden, and the estimated 100 other families who bring their kids here, will have to go somewhere else. Friday afternoon, state business licensing officials in Pierre pulled "Kountry Kare's" business permit, putting it out of business while the abuse investigation continues.
Late this afternoon we were able to speak with another of Kountry Kare's co-owners, Leslie Klein, she tells us that she and the rest of the staff here are under the impression that this entire situation is just a big misunderstanding. They do not believe the allegations against their co-worker.
Mom Tracy Eden doesn't know what to think, but know what she's going to do, regardless of "Kountry Kare's" business license being pulled. "My daughter will not come back."
Police are fairly confident this incident involves just two kids but cautions parents who have kids attending here, need to have a tough talk about if any adult has ever touched them or hurt them.
David Klein is in the Minnehaha County Jail tonight under a 500-thousand dollar bond.
