Very true. I did notice right after the fall she was in pain. Like I said so much so she was shivering. I rushed her into the hospital and sure enough it was a broken arm. She got a little pink cast and made everybody sign it. Oh and nobody accused me of abuse because if it is an accident they can tell. This "lady" knew her baby was in pain she was just to worried about her own ass to do anything about it.

I wasn't trying to defend this cunt. I was just stating not knowing is no excuse. If your baby is swollen and crying something is wrong. even if you don't know what it is you go in and get it checked out. That's the difference between a selfish cunt of a mother and a good loving mommy.

AHEM. Not always. I was making beds one day and piled all the linen on the floor of my DD's bedroom (she was 3 at the time). She and her 2-year-old brother were jumping on the laundry pile. I was in the next room, making my own bed. My DD called out saying that DS was stuck. I went in and he was jammed between the bed and the wall. The official story is he dive-rolled onto the bed with enough force to manage to roll off the other side and get stuck.

I moved the bed and rescued him, but a while later noticed his arm was swollen.

I took him to the ER and told them what happened, assuming he hurt it in the fall, landing on it, or when he put his arm out to try to stop himself from going off the bed.

My DH was called.

We were separated and interviewed.

Turns out, DD had tried to pull her brother out of his predicament before I got there. She had caused a fracture in his arm from pulling on one arm, while the other was jammed and bent.

Fortunately the culprit fessed up when they asked her some questions (glad it was DD, DS1 was non-verbal at 3). They declined to charge her. I never would have paid the bail, either. ;)

Just last week I told her the truth behind her brother's cast: I told her she broke her baby brother's arm and was a child abuser!

She didn't look impressed, but said she remembered it all very well.
