Teen Mom 2 -- Janelle Makes Me Sick

So I am not sure how many of you watch this show. It is one of my guilty pleasures I am sad to admit. I thought Amber was a horrible mom on teen mom but now they have Janelle and this bitch just blows everybody out of the water.

So the first thing that bothers me about her is the fact that after having the baby all she wanted to do is party. Not to mention she admits to smoking weed while pregnant.

Jenelle Evans from 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom 2 admitted to smoking marijuana while pregnant with her son Jace, and it looks like Jenelle might have continued with her marijuana use (at least she’s no longer pregnant!) The MTV reality star was arrested October 15, 2010 for alleged breaking and entering and marijuana possession

I don't mind a responsible parent who smokes weed.. I do mind a dumb bitch who is out drugging it up while her mom raises her baby!

I know on a lot of site people are bitching that her mom is to hard on her. While I agree that barb is bitchy and a MAJOR control freak, I think she is the only one standing up to keep Jace safe. Lord knows if Janelle had him they would end up on the DD with her wonderful choice in men.

I know these shows are not for everyone. I admit I tired to not enjoy the show, but in the end I do. I must have a thing for trashy reality tv stars because I can't help but watch the train wreck weekly!

@Mommyof2, I watch and I am so on board with you. I find myself hollering at the screen, and then calling my teenage kids and ripping one into them....just in case. I cry every time I watch. Some things are just very sad, and knowing they are teen girls makes me even more sad. But lil miss bitchy Janelle, she is something else. What is up with that nasty ass dude she was with? Bottom feeders is all she seems to be hot for.

Although momma is crazy and controlling, she is the ONLY person that is there for baby Jace and making sure her skankweed of a daughter doesn't screw him up too

@Mommyof2 I don't watch this show. (Yet?) I try to avoid the reality shows in general but find myself watching one or the other now and then. Last Fall it was The Biggest Loser. They have something that just draws interest -- I guess it's the train wreck factor.

Anyway, having read a couple of different threads about Teen Mom, I am appalled at these females' behavior. But I have to wonder if they aren't doing this -- the especially bad stuff -- because it gets them more face time on the show. That's what it's all about, really, face time. Any publicity is good publicity for them. I'm betting good moms don't get much face time. Of course, if they take their behavior too far, especially with the babies, they could end up in jail, as one mom found out in the first season (so I heard). When you think of it, it's almost entrapment.

I think that may have been the case on last years show with Amber. I just think Janelle is naturally a trashy bitch. Thankfully the producers of teen mom don't give Janelle extra face time on the show. They try and balance it between all the mothers.

You said you haven't watched the show but I am sure @Mybabiesmomma would agree with me that there were at least a couple of good mom's on both seasons. I think Maci from season 1 and Leah from season 2 are both good moms. They still get plenty of time on the show too.

I think maybe Janelle likes any kind of attention good or bad. Either way I love to hate her lol.

That's encouraging, but it blows my nascent theory apart. I had decided that maybe, in a twisted way, MTV was working to stamp out teen motherhood by showing only bad teen moms. They win because they have a show people can't take their eyes off, and they make public service points. Oh, well, there goes that.

I think in a way MTV is showing how hard it is to be a teen mom. It shows how much the girls have to give up and how hard it is to stay in school. They all have to find time to work on top of that. They don't sugar coat it and I like that. I think in some way it will make some kids think twice about having a baby in high school.

@Mommyof2, I couldn't agree with you more. Maci is to me the best one. She still tends to act like a teen, which should tell the rest of pimple face America that they aren't ready for this responsibility. Not saying they can't, because some have made it....we have some former teen moms here in DD. To me that is the exception and not the norm. But even though sometimes I feel that TV is gloryfing teen preggers, in a way it allows those teens with out babies, to see the harsh reality of parenthood. For the girls watching, I hope they understand that boys are hormonal, hell they will poke anything that moves. So the "I love you" is only a ploy to get in your pants....How many of the daddys on the show have actually stepped up? Not many....

I was a teen mom myself. I was by no means perfect. I made mistakes along the way and thankfully my kids are happy and smart tweens now.

I am so with you on the baby daddy thing.. All these girls have a picture of happily ever after in their heads and that is not reality. I can tell you my kids dad ran like hell after he got me pregnant a 2nd time. My daughter was 11 months old and I was six weeks away from having our second daughter.

I think it's a good thing to show if it even makes one girl think twice about having a baby. I know that is not the path I want my girls to take.

@Mommyof2 it doesn't make being a teen mom glamorous at all. Those girls fcking struggle. Luckily most of them seem to have good, supportive families.
The show gives me an opportunity to discuss teen pregnancy with my daughter and birth control.
We've talked before but it gave me a chance to address it again. I was very happy to hear her say..."I would never have a baby in high school, I have goals!"

As far as Janelle goes, I hate to judge and get into the drama of the shit but yeah...I admit there are times when I get very frustrated and think if she was my daughter I would be whipping her ass. Janelle is more interested in her man and drugs then she is her child.

The other teen moms I've been pretty proud of in Teen Mom 2. In Teen Mom 1 I really disliked Amber. I thought her a little witch.

I am not sure what is the truth about what they are paid. I have read several different things. One says $60,000, one said they moms don't get paid, that the money goes to a fund for their babies, and another one said teen mom amber makes $280,000 a year.

I know I'm going to get fried for this but here goes.... I feel sorry for Janelle. Her mother has taken over from the day Jace was born. She doesn't know how to be a parent because she's never had the chance. I'm not going to go into the math, but if you figure it all out, after editing, they only show about 10 minutes per week per mom. And they need a bad guy. Last season it was Amber, this season it's Janelle. I honestly believe that MTV edits to support the conclusions that the viewers have already come to. For instance, Janelle is the "bad mom", so for the most part show only the taping that makes her look bad. On the other hand, I think someone needs to light a fire under her ass in the motherhood department. With some people the only way they learn is sink or swim. I think as long as her mother is enabling her and taking over every time she thinks she can't do it, Janelle is going to depend on her and never learn how to be a mother herself.

Completely unrelated, but has anyone ever noticed how whenever Chelsea calls her father, she yells "DAD!" with the same sence of ungency, whether she's asking him to bring her some milk or tell him the house is on fire? I don't know why but I think that's the most hilarious thing I've ever seen.

I do not feel sorry for Janelle. She's an immature, ungrateful brat who should have given that baby up for adoption. She makes comments like "I have to go babysit Jace." Babysit? He's your kid, for Christ's sake. As for the rest of the people on the show, I don't know which makes me yell more: The deadbeat baby daddies parked on somebody else's parents' couch playing video games, or the fucktard baby mommas who put up with their stupid worthless asses.

All three girls involved in the crazy "Teen Mom" fight TMZ first posted last week have been officially charged with crimes ... TMZ has learned. Jenelle Evans, Britany Truett and Brittany Maggard have been charged with misdemeanor affray -- disorderly conduct by fighting in a public place. If convicted, all 3 face a maximum of 60 days in jail.

Many of us have acted in ways that would later on in life, cause us to want to run and hide under a rock. But can you imagine how these girls will feel later on in lfe when they have had the chance to mature and look at life differently? They will always have the teen years and antics on film for all to criticize. I feel badly for them in that regard. I know I would be mortified to see myself on film at that age. I was a teen mom. I couldn't have a house. I couldn't rent an apartment. I didn't have mommy and daddy to help me. I didn't have daddy buying me groceries. I didn't have mommy and daddy babysitting so I could go out for a 'teen night'. I did it on my own, fully. I lived with friends, worked 2-3 jobs, and did what the hell I should have. These girls being "teen moms" is a fucking joke and a half.

I have to agree with you on this. Mom is controlling and not very loving towards her own kid. Did anyone catch the epidose Janelle is crying feeling unloved and shit? This is still a kid, granted she birthed a child. But she is a kid herself that seems not to have had any direction from her own mother. In a separate epidose, Janelle tells her mother how she felt being abandoned by her mother as a little girl. She felt unloved, felt as if she were the issue....Anyone surprised this child can't get her shit together????
